A really cool resto/cafe/bar/venue all in one, the decor is new york loft meets ground floor update! This is the place to become a regular and if your lacking inspiration a place to visit for some rehabilitation. Food is great and staff are friendly along with a style not uncommon to quebec.

We were in Quebec City for our honeymoon and we were looking for a restaurant that would serve modern québécois food because we were a little bistro-ed out. We found this place on TA and the good reviews were backed by good reviews on google and yelp. We were sooooo disappointed. The music was a little loud and a projector played a weird artsy film on the wall above our heads...I didn't mind the music but the video was almost seizure-inducing. Thankfully it gave way to something more mellow. The server seemed friendly and attentive at first...it took a whole to get our drinks but it was busy and it wasn't her fault if the bar was backed up. We ordered our food within 15 minutes of arriving, but we didn't get our first course for an hour while we watched newer tables who had ordered way after us get their food first. Our server didn't proactively offer us bread or explain or apologize for the delay - I had to ask her to come over. She obviously was aware of the delay because she launched into an explanation right away once she came over. All we had ordered was grilled calamari and a cold marinated fish dish, neither of which takes much time to prep or plate. They were quite good but the entrees (duo of guinea fowl for 2 ppl and the suckling pig flank) were underwhelming. The rest of the service was taken care of by other servers who came by to clear our plates and to offer another gls of wine. If the food had been amazing, I probably wouldn't have bothered to write a negative review. But the menu looked like it had such potential and the food just fell flat; service fell even shorter of our basic expectations.

My husband and I were visiting Quebec City for our three year anniversary and I saw this restaurant listed in our Frommer's book. It was my pick for our "anniversary dinner" and it couldn't have been any better. We chose their Table d'hôte and it was amazing! It left us satisfied, yet craving more! We also took them up on pairing our food with the sommelier's suggestions. Excellent!

If you are looking for a stylish urban restaurant where real Quebec City residents dine, Le Cercle is it. This modern and hip restaurant provided us with the most delicious and innovative food on our 10-day tour of Quebec and New Brunswick.

This is not haute cuisine; rather, Le Cercle re-interprets traditional Canadian favorites, like halibut served with a delicious mussel sauce or a cheese sandwich that includes pastrami, and cole slaw unlike any I have ever tasted.

If you want to a quaint, old-fashioned bistro, go to Paris. But if you are a foodie, give Le Cercle a try. This San Franciscan man recommends it.

We found this place on line and it was close to our hotel but it was seemingly far enough away from the tourist crowd of Old Qubec to get more of an authentic Quebec experience. The crowd was younger and the place was packed and had a cool vibe to it. We had made a reservation and had a good table. We weren't starving so we had a cheese plate, some olives and then we share calamari. yes simple food but nicely prepared and we enjoyed it with a bottle of wine. The wine list is pretty good and we had a mid-priced bottle of French wine which was smooth. I would definitely go back to this place.
