“misnamed but great nonetheless”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

I went there expecting a traditional "pre-history to modern times" set of exhibits. That's not what this place is about but the exhibits are still very well laid out, interesting and instructive.
The video game exhibition was quite enlightening and is a good reminder for all of us old enough to remember Pong how fast technology is evolving and what passed as "technological edge" not that long ago.

Note that there is a rebate system so you can enter for a much reduced price if you have gone to the musee de l'amerique franchise. Just be sure to keep your ticket.

“Loved the video game exhibit! Some confusion about photography, though”
Reviewed 19 November 2013

We definitely loved the video game exhibit. Not just that we could see them, but that we could play them, too! What a great trip down memory lane! There was confusion about photography, though. Upon entering the museum, we were told that we could take pictures inside the exhibit. There was also a sign that said photography was allowed. Once we started taking pictures, a guard came over and stopped us. We tried asking questions, but we don't speak French and he didn't speak English. So, we just put the cameras away and everything seemed fine.

“Interesting Museum”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

Our boys loved the history of video games exhibit and we loved the Paris exhibit. It wasn't quite what we expected but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The gift shop is quite nice and reasonably priced for many of their items.

“Excellent exhibition on old Paris”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

The museum has a number of exhibitions one of which was on old Paris. We had a guided tour which was exceptional. The guide had amazing knowledge and brought the whole era to life. Two of the other exhibits were too modern art for our tastes. They also had one on electronic gaming history. This was wonderful plus you could play all the games. There were additional exhibits that we never had time to visit.

“Fantastic and quite unexpected”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

Great exhibits - added a quite an unexpected pleasure visiting this beautiful city. We expected something on the history of Quebec, but special exhibits on Paris and Haitian art very a pure delight.
