I was only booked in for one night at this hotel. We asked for and received a small suite to accommodate the three of us travelling as a group. The price was certainly right but I made note of our numbers with the hotel before arrival and asked that the sofa bed be made up for our late night arrival. The large sitting room included a sofa-bed but it could not be lifted out of the sofa. The front desk would not answer the phone so I went back downstairs and asked that the sofa bed be looked at. On my return to the room shortly thereafter a cot was in the room beside the broken sofa bed. As we were three women "of a certain age" well beyond a cot we were disappointed but toughed it out (coin toss?) due to the late hour and our need for a good sleep. The following morning at check-out I voiced my unhappiness with the cot and suggested that the room price should be lowered to a standard double. This was promptly agreed to and the adjustment to my bill was made. I was happy with that although I was not the person relegated to sleeping on the cot! The location of the hotel is within easy walking distance of historic Old Town Quebec and The Plains of Abraham. It is a modern style multi-story building. If only our original request could have been taken care of from the beginning I would have gladly given the Hotel Concorde a higher rating. After all, a good night's sleep is really what you want from a hotel.

Thank you for taking a moment of your time to share your review with us. Our guests’ comments are very important as they give us the opportunity to improve our hotel and services. You can be sure that we treat them with the greatest importance.

We apologize for the inconveniences you encountered with the sofa bed. We totally understand your disappointment and you can be sure that we will look at it as soon as possible. However, we are glad to hear that your issue has ended well when you asked for a discount to the front desk staff.

On the other hand, we are glad you liked our location, nearby the Old Quebec City and numerous restaurants and attractions. It is true that our guests actually appreciate that and we are proud of it.

Again, thank you for taking a moment of your time to share your comments with us. We would be glad to welcome you again with the aim of showing you that this issue was an isolated case.

Best regards,

Tommy

We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago and were very pleased with the location and the access to amenities around the city, as well as the price. La Grande Allée is just outside the door of this hotel, there are many excellent restaurants/clubs to choose from. It is a few minutes walk from the Old City and all that Québec has to offer. The rooms were clean and spacious with excellent views and the staff was super friendly. Would stay again!

Just returned from four nights at the Concorde. We were in Quebec to take in the sights. Location of the hotel is perfect: close to the Plains, restaurants and in walking distance to Old Quebec. Very satisfied with the room. The view from our room on the 20th floor was spectacular. We found the hotel room very clean and very comfortable. My only complaint would be the parking: out in front at check in, it got a little crowded, not to mention those who double park without any thought of how they are blocking the road for others. Also, the indoor parking is very very narrow to manoeuvre and there is a 24$ charge per day!!
I would certainly recommend this hotel even though it seems to be a work in progress ( revolving restaurant being renovated....) and it seems to be stuck in a time warp (circa the 1980s)...

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the upper floors, facing the Chateau Frontenac.

We are glad to hear that our hotel has met your expectations. It is true that our guests appreciate our location nearby numerous restaurants and attractions.

We take good note of your comment regarding the decor of the hotel. As we reopened only a few months ago, we did not get the chance to renovate everything we wanted to do, but we plan to do it in the following years.

We are also sorry for the inconveniences you encountered with the indoor parking. It is true that some clients do not pay attention to the parking spaces and we are sorry for that. We also keep in mind your comment regarding the parking rates. It is true that it can be unpleasant to pay for the parking, but we only have 200 spaces for a 400-room hotel. This is why we cannot include the parking in our room rates.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the view from your room. It is true that our rooms offer a wonderful view on Quebec City and St-Lawrence River.

Again, thank you for taking a moment of your time to share your review with us. You can be sure we will treat your comments with the greatest importance.

We stated at the Hotel Le Concorde. We booked blindly on Hotwire. Although the hotel was in the midst of starting renovations on rooms next year, it was clean and comfortable. Some areas were subsequently closed. Parking $25/day. We upgraded to the 26th floor with a great view of Chateaux Frontenac for $20. It was fair, but they could have thrown that in. The location seemed a bit far from the "old" Quebec at first, but once we travelled the area a bit we realized that it's location was great! We walked and took a horse-drawn carriage($90 for 45 min.). The driver was very nice and knowledgable. Old Quebec was incredible. The architecture, restaurants and views were amazing. Most locals spoke English. We would go back.

It is true that we are planning to revamp our rooms in the coming years. As we reopened a few months ago, we did not have the chance to renovate everything we wanted to do.

We are happy you liked your unit on the 26th floor. It is true that our guest really appreciate the view from our room and we are happy to hear that it was you case.

However, the upgrade you asked for could not have been included because your stay has been booked with a third party, which means that you would have needed to ask Hotwire for the upgrade to be included.

It is true that our location could seem a bit far from Old Quebec City, but like you said, the hotel is only a few minutes away from there. There are also numerous restaurants and attractions nearby the hotel.

We had originally wanted to stay at boutique hotel in old Quebec but the prices were too high and rooms hard to get. We 'settled' for this one and were very pleased that we did. The price was good, the location great, the room quite satisfactory. Everything is within walking distance including many cafes right next door. It is obviously a work in progress with the revolving restaurant under construction but nothing cause us problems. Reception staff were friendly and bilingual. Room was clean and bathroom had everything we needed.
Looking forward to our next visit.

It is true that our rotating restaurant located on the roof top of the building is under renovations. It will open this October.

We are glad you appreciated our front desk staff. For us, to be friendly and bilingual is very important and we are glad you appreciated that.
