“Quaint little hotel!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

Old Quebec, brick walls, steep staircases, this is what you find in building that are over 100 years old. We loved it. We had room 22, small room, thus do not get your hopes up on a large room, this is a very old hotel, with small room! Only 17 rooms in this hotel, with the reception desk in the hotel Champlain, next door. There is a samll living area on the first floor, with couches, and chairs, and a small kitchen with table, microwave, and glasses if needed.

Our room, 22, was the only room with its balcony! What a view! You have the Chateau Frontenac (The fairmont) as your view, and the balcony is in the sun from morning to evening. Watch you head when you use the balcony door, it is very low.

The room has a full bathroom, and a fridge and tv, with a beautiful brick wall over the bed!

Great service, hotel situated in the middle of Old Quebec (between the Fairmont and the Parlement).

No parking, but easily found around the hotel, and we founds free (no parling meters two streets away).

I recommand room 22, if you are travelling as a couple.

Room Tip: Room 22 has it own provate balcony (only on of all rooms in hotel)

Adorable old hotel in beautiful old Quebec. I'm so happy we found this hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, everything is in walking distance, and the city views are stunning. I would love to come back and stay here again.

I was staying there for 3 nights, the very cold week, just before famous Quebec Carnival. On the left side with nice view, there are smaller, pictoresque rooms, but we took on right side, without view, but with much more space ( see photo). Everything was well done, except that I falled down very, very hardly, on the steps to exit hotel. Should be marked better, as it was very cold and iced. But, in sister nearby hotel Champlain, I was able to take free of charge excellent coffe, and good tees, because of my accident. Reception for St-Anne is also in Hotel Champain, which is extremely good evaluated by its guests!!

Room Tip: I already wrote it!

This hotel was in the heart of Old Quebec and was accessible to all the famous attractions nearby. The hotel seems a bit dated on the outside and throughout the hallways, but the rooms are quite lovely. We did have a problem with the heating the first night, but it was because the nob on the floor board heater was not properly adjusted. I would highly recommend for travelers seeking an inexpensive, no frills hotel.

As for the complaints about breakfast, it was not necessary for them to provide a typical continental breakfast. They don't have the space to accommodate this, plus there are numerous cafes and breakfast places nearby. The hotel did offer 20% off a nearby cafe, Pain Beni (a 5 minute walk from the hotel), which was quite delicious.

Room Tip: I personally liked our room, number 18. It looks out into a courtyard and shares only one wall with...

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. I caught the Via Rail in and the hotel was a shortish walk, about 10min, although up some hills. When I got here I walked in the front single door and there was no reception just a little lounge area, computer, coffee machine and table. Then I saw the sign - the hotel next door own it, so reception is there. Checked in there, got my key, and went to my room. I was on the 2nd floor, the hallways are really tight. The room itself was nice without being spectacular. It was basically the bed a tv and a bathroom. But then again, you dont really need much more so I was happy. The bathroom was clean and relatively new, shampoo and soap is provided. The location of this hotel is right in the heart of the old city which makes it perfect and it is off main streets which makes it quiet.

I really enjoyed my stay here and would stay again.

WiFi is included, and we were given a 20% discount voucher for breakfast at a restaurant down the road, although never tried it out.

For those individuals who are NOT seasoned travelers, especially to Europe!! This hotel is PERFECT. You can't beat the price!!! Yes, is can be a tricky place to find, but what "Old Town" location isn't? Yes, the bathrooms can be a bit small, but what "Old" hotel, in a historic district isn't? I have traveled all over Europe and this small, hotel is very typical of what one, would expect. No, it's not the Marriot, or "W"...but when it's right smack in the middle of the "Old Town" quite your complaining!!....Especially in Feb. when you only pay $60.00 US a night. Can't get any better than this!!!!! (Not to mention, walking out the front door, down a few steps, 2 blocks away is one of the BEST restaurants in all of Quebec = Le Patriache & Sapresti on Rue St Jean )

The room is freezing, windows iced up, no heat control, cobwebs in all the corners and along the cieling, small, dirty cracked walls... just very sad. Depressing place. This aint charm... it's a sloppy home repair job tryinng to pass as a hotel.

Don't bother, there are many other small hotels in the area, Never agin for us.
