Fabulous place for a stroll - a must to do when visiting Quebec City. We had a perfect day and took the challenge for all those stairs up to the Citadel! Not for the faint hearted but a great to do if able.

Very easy to walk. Good for kids as well. A good exercise suggestion. It's better to go in the morning as it won't be too hot.

Nice leisurely walk with awesome views. Lots of stairs so be aware of your fitness level. You can start in old town and walk up...or start on the plains and walk down

This promenade is a beautiful area with fantastic views. We entered the area via the harbor area and encountered an uncountable amount of stairs!!! I suggest you start the walk from the top park area especially if you have any endurance or mobility issues, and enjoy the views from there. The scenery is outstanding and so much history in this area of Old Quebec. Make sure you wear good walking shoes and don't forget your umbrella!

Over 300 steps make this an attraction for athletes and explorers, but well worth the effort. The views from different heights above the St. Lawrence are stunning, and the citadel at the top is worth a visit too. Excellent!
