This company sets a high standard in the Hotel industry. The property was impeccably kept and the staff as good as it gets. A medium sized Hotel with a warm atmosphere you might expect of a Country Inn. We had a nice luxury room overlooking the harbor. Two nights while in Quebec for some skiing and relaxation we couldn't have asked for more. The complimentary breakfast is great and presented in a relaxed self serve arrangement. Fresh coffee all day and a fire in the lobby fireplace every evening.

Looking forward to our next stay. Don't change a thing!

Thanks to all the reviewers, my husband and I are staying here for two nights. What an amazing hotel- all the wonderful things people have said are true. The staff is amazing- so helpful, with no language barrier. The breakfast is excellent, and I really enjoyed having the complimentary Nespresso machine in the room. This is in addition to a fabulous machine downstairs that dispenses wonderful lattes, expressos, hot chocolate.... All day long with the press of a button. We are staying in a queen bed room- it is spacious with a beautiful and roomy bathroom. I wish I was Eloise and could just live here!!

There are so many lovely things i can say about this boutique hotel. My husband and i stayed here for 2 nights last week and everything was just perfect. On arrival to the hotel, there is lovely background classical music playing and when we entered our room , we were also greeted with this lovely music, which we found to be very relaxing. The staff speak excellent English and are very helpful. The breakfast's were great. its like open dining, self service and you there are various places to sit. Good selection from croissants to cakes, lovely cheeses, variety of bread/beiglesgranola,cereals,yogurt,fresh fruit(there is a large bowl filled with fresh fruit all day to help yourself, the same goes for tea/coffee/herbal teas. Its available all day as there is a tea/coffee/water machine. The bedrooms are extremely modern with dark brown wooden blinds and lovely pictures. The bathroom is small but perfectly adequate. There are lovely aveda products to use and every night you get a bottle of water and 2 chocs. There is internet to use in the lobby free of charge and the hotel is about 25 mins away from the airport, taxi ride 32CAD + tip. Went to a fabulous restaurant called the Continental(book in advance). You walk up to the finicular and when you come off it, the restaurant is a 5 min walk away, just after the Fairmont Hotel. A very relaxing hotel which i would highly recommend. We did the 2hour walking tour which was excellent, which you pick up beside the tourist info.

What more can I add to the other excellent reviews. Surrounded by some of the best restaurants in Quebec, all in walking distance, also many Galleries. The staff go out of their way without being "in your face" to make your stay a special one. Spotless, large rooms, wonderful comfy beds, great bathrooms. A fire always lit for you to relax by in the lounge, many seats and chairs, just like being at home. Breakfast is continental, but has many delicious choices , coffee/tea always available. I celebrated my birthday there, made even more special by the staff...... dont hesitate to book ....

We stayed in this hotel in 2000 originally, and we were so impressed by every single component, the reception, the staff, the welcome, the atmosphere, the elevator, the room! !!!! oh the room.....spacious, spotless-!!! was just how I would love to have my own room at home. It is the essence of luxury without being overbearing. We returned just once since, but having just seen it on Trip Advisor will fulfill a promise to myself and organise a trip to this wonderful hotel- situated in a delightful city

I travelled with my wife to Quebec City for the period between Christman and New Year's Eve. Our room at the Dominion had a great view of the upper area of Quebec City. We could see the historic wall surrounding the city and Hotel Frontenac from our room. The service was excellent and the breakfast buffets was top notch. Great selection of lox, cheeses, breads, eggs, cereals, yogut etc....We were also impressed by the espresso machine available to guests at no addtional cost 24 hours per day. They also had a fantastic sitting area with a large and cosy fireplace. They gym wasn't huge but it had all the equipment I needed including a treadmill, stationary bike, and weights. The hotel was a highlight of our trip.

Quebec City is a gorgeous town, and Hotel Le Germain – Dominion fits right in. What an excellent home base for exploring the city on foot at Christmastime!

Great location just a few minutes' walk down a few postcard-perfect streets to the old town. Warm and welcoming lounge with comfortable chairs and couch, tables, and a roaring fire and huge hearth. I think we spent more time in the lounge than our room! And with to-your-chair bar service (the best martini I've ever tasted on arrival -- thanks to Tablet Plus!), an espresso maker at guests' disposal, soft lighting and quiet music, it's hardly a wonder.

The staff is exceptionally approachable and friendly. We were in over the Christmas weekend and the staff did so many little things to make it extra special -- gratis holiday cocktails in the lounge in the evening, champagne at midnight in front of the fire, wrapping and hiding our gifts, etc.

Our room had a great view of the St. Lawrence River. I spent a good amount of time gazing out across the icy water at the ferries, ice canoeists, and the pretty houses and churches perched on the hills of Levis. The other side of the building looks out across the old town -- I didn't see for myself, but I'm fairly certain you'll have a lovely view from any room from the 5th floor up.

Our Tablet Plus upgrade to a king bed was incredibly welcome. The bed and pillows were as pristine and comfortable as any luxury hotel and are the centerpiece of the otherwise relatively stripped-down rooms. The room felt bright and spacious thanks to streamlined furniture -- floating nightstands, flat-screen TV, small desk and lounge chair, and no dresser -- high ceilings, and a clever paint job. Relaxing and uncluttered, but with just the right little touches to make you feel organized and at home.

If you tend to travel with half your bag full of chargers, cables, and the electronic gadgets that require them, you won't be hunting for some hard-to-reach outlet -- there's a handy charging station by the desk. There's even RCA video, VGA and HDMI ports for the TV, in case you want to watch Netflix on the Samsung LCD TV via your iPad, or plug in that Xbox you're (probably not) toting.

The bathroom left a bit to be desired -- ours was quite cramped and grout in the tub was falling off in chunks in some places and looked like it had been hastily renovated recently. The shallow glass sink didn't work very well with the gushing faucet and our toiletries and towels tended to get soaked every time we washed our hands. The tub was small and a bit rickety -- next time we stay I will ask for a glass shower. It was, of course, spotlessly clean, and well-stocked with Aveda products and soft fluffy towels.

Room service is very limited as there is no in-hotel restaurant (the food, which is good and reasonably priced, comes from Versa Café).

The included breakfast is exceptional. It's a wild spread of pastries, fruits, bagels, spreads and pate, crepes, yogurt, granola, and fresh squeezed orange juice. Guests ate and socialized in the lounge, enjoying the food (kept stocked and fresh for hours) and the eggnog with brandy for Christmas. So far above and beyond your typical included Continental breakfast!

We are Le Germain converts and will seek them out in Montreal and Calgary when we visit. We had a warm and very memorable stay.
