Not suitable for young children, but perfect for everyone else. We will stay here again.

A beautiful hotel with outstanding service. My husband brought me here a year ago to propose. All I can say is the staff was very helpful. My husband got us to Quebec city but had no plans. The staff helped us plan out our day but providing recommendations such as visiting the food market, going to a spa, visiting museums, seeing free cirque shows. They even provided him with a location at the Plains of Abraham to propose.

They have a tasty and convenient breakfast (complimentary) - continent style.

If you book this hotel, it won't disappoint. Beautiful rooms, romantic scenery and great service.

Hotel is accurately described in other outstanding-rated reviews.

Converted bank building very nicely redone. Charming, cozy Euro-style interior (certainly not small), with an unassuming entrance on a side street. Easy to miss if you don't have the address. Nearby serious museums, decent bistros, street life, art galleries. Very enjoyable restaurants (stick to the French-style food), neat historic buildings,.and some antique stores within short walking distance. Near the river (couple of short blocks), but not-so-near the historic battlefield, neat Parliament building, or upper-City which is more traditional touristy (not my taste!). So-so shopping nearby (it's hardly Paris in this regard, but, I think, just as much charm and better in some others - e.g. civility and a slower pace). Healthy walk to outdoor, free (this season) Cirque-du-Soleil.

Booked a superior room. Delightful modern French decor - reminded me of hotel I stayed in Paris two years ago. Thoroughly French ambiance. Good location in lower part of Old Quebec City. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable, bilingual staff, who recommended several excellent restaurants. Nice, informal relaxed atmosphere overall, with decent light complementary continental-style breakfast. Felt right at home. View OK from the 5th floor, but not great (buildings in the way).

Room was OK size but not large. Decor and bedding quality was simply superb. Good sound proofing. Only gripe as extreme shortage of clothing drawers - we packed for several days and brought some upscale casual clothing (not needed in the very casual tourists spots and restaurants).

Room Tip: Hotel, I'm told, has both more traditional-French style and modern-Euro style rooms. We stayed...

We are pleased to hear that Hotel Le Germain-Dominion fits your needs. Located in the historic district, we need to follow restrictions related to the signage. We also apply the same discretion to our building than we do to our distinguished guests. We provide directions on our website and are happy to help over the phone or we can direct our arriving guests through a GPS. Hope to see you back soon !

A little difficult to find, but very convenient location. Everything in the Old City is within walking distance from the hotel. The staff was very helpful in recommending restaurants and things to do. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was delicious!

Absolutely loved this hotel in Old Quebec. Great staff, amazing bedding and room decor, the wonderful staff make you feel welcome and at home the moment you come in. We were traveling with a dog and they provided us with a dog bed and food/water bowls and suggested a few parks nearby.

This was a fabulous choice for a weekend visit to Quebec City. Nestled below the old city, the location is perfect. Inside, impeccable decor in the lobby welcomed us. A fireplace was lit in the evening And we enjoyed a cocktails before heading to dinner. Our room was well appointed and comfortable with a bathroom that was spacious. I would rathe this an A++++.

Perfect! Tourists and business people both seemed to love it as we did. My wife and I spent 4 getaway weekday nights there in mid-September, 2011, loved it, and will return. LOCATION – Lower Town, away from the Upper Town bustle and tourism, and within 4 blocks of some of the best restaurants in town, more than you can eat your way through. A block from the Civilization Museum, a must-see. ROOMS – ours was a “superior” queen, wonderfully modern in this old building, with everything we needed, nothing we didn’t (comfortable bed, bath with glass shower, widescreen flat TV, WiFi, desk-like working surface, comfortable reading chair, in-room safe, in-room espresso maker with complimentary packets). SERVICE – just the right balance of attentiveness and privacy, and friendly. Check-in is also concierge, so they could handle all questions, make all dinner reservations. A neat little switch in the room signals the staff “Privacy please” or “Need service”. BREAKFAST – anything we could ask for in a continental breakfast in the lobby with a variety of seating options. Espresso, coffee, juice, fruit, boiled eggs, all manner of breads, cereals, yogurt. PARKING – adjacent to hotel, a rarity. Extra cost, and you don’t need your car while exploring Lower or Upper Town, leave it parked, but there for the out-of-town excursion.
