“Very Quaint”
Reviewed 29 July 2012

Loved the architecture and the little art shops. Very unique! Saw a 45 minute animated history of Quebec with music projected on silos in the port. Fantastic!! Loved the street performers.

“Worth a Visit”
Reviewed 29 July 2012

Very touristy but still worth a visit. A bit of a step back in history. Lots of gift and souvenir shops but some pretty interesting restaurants too. The place is very compact and easily accessed from the area in front of the Chateau Frontenac via the escalier (free) or the funiculaire ($2).

“Quaint and very european”
Reviewed 26 July 2012

Smaller than the upper area but just as unique with old world charm. We found the restaurant staff a bit more aggressive in trying to draw you in. We didnt eat here so cant comment on the food. We took the ride back up instead of walking the steep incline and the $2 cost was well worth it when the temperature was in the 30s!

“Great shops and restaurants”
Reviewed 26 July 2012

Going to lower town is a must. If the stairs are too much take the funicular but you will miss some of the restaurants and shops located on the steps.
