It is a pleasure to stroll around the streets of the Lower Town, soaking up the ambience and history of this beautiful city. This is a don't miss part of Quebec

It is a great place to walk and see what one would expect to see in Europe, the cobblestone streets, the buildings...it's all so beautiful...I highly recommend!!

Lots of little shops and restaurants, glass blowing, designer clothes, stone buildings and walkways...more amazing when you think of the early history associated with it!

Lots to explore and do didn't want to leave. Purchase a coat from one of the stores and I just love it. The staff were just fantastic and friendly.
The restaurants were the best we tried many dishes that we normally wouldn't have but the staff reassure us that we would totally enjoy and we did.

Similar to the upper town, with many great restaurants, shops, and nice architecture, but different in layout with winding narrow streets and more of a cramped setting. You can walk along the riverfront with a great view of the terrific architecture above. An easy walk from the upper town to the lower, but a very arduous walk back up the 201 steps and steep sidewalks (you can take the funicular for $2.50 per person).

Some of the restaurants that we enjoyed in the lower town were Lapin Saute, Le Petit Cochon Dingue, and SSS (our favorite). All of the waiters were bilingual, speaking both French and English.

Very beautiful area, if you don't mind some strenuous walking.
