“Great service, great location, quiet, clean, wonderful!”
Reviewed 5 April 2011

We stayed here for three nights in late March. The staff were excellent, helping get our bags up the staircase, providing maps and walking directions, and always friendly as we came and went throughout the day. The Bell Captain was especially helpful on our last day when we needed to access our luggage a few times after checking out. The hotel location is ideal, we only needed taxis to get to and from the airport, and we could walk everywhere else we needed to go (taxi from the airport was $32). The hotel is just steps from the main street where there are many excellent restaurants and shops, and an incredible bakery called Paillard. The city wall is also just a few minutes walk from the hotel, with the main street passing through one of the gates. We were about a ten-minute walk from the Chateau Frontenac, and from there, just a few minutes more to lower town. We could not have been more pleased with the location. Our room was very clean and well kept, and my only complaint was that it was not well lit. The beds were made up with high-quality linens and pillows and were very comfortable. The hotel itself was very quiet, no noisy guests coming and going in the hallways, and no slamming doors. We had a discounted rate as we were staying for three nights and I thought the hotel was an excellent value. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at Hotel Manoir Victoria w/our children 5 & 8. The room was comfortable and we loved the location. It was right across the street from Paillard where we ate all our breakfasts and one dinner & lunch. To die for croissants & macarons (different and better IMO than a macaroon)!

We had considered staying at Auberge Place d'Armes and were so glad we switched. We had two large, comfortable queen beds at Manoir Victoria, and would have had a pull out murphy bed for the kids at Place d'Armes. The Manoir room was much larger for the same price and I liked being away from the overcrowded area of town near the Chateau where the other hotel is located. It was still an easy walk to the Citadelle and Upper/Lower towns. Since we drove from the U.S. the valet parking at Hotel Manoir was invaluable.

If you go to Quebec City with kids, don't miss the costume workshops at the Musee de la Civilisation & Centre d'interpretation de Place-Royale!

Just returned from a superb weekend at this hotel. Nothing negative to say. The staff at the front desk, at the restaurant and the valets were so welcoming. Nothing snob about any of them. The food at the Table du Manoir restaurant was devine. This was our first time at this hotel but not the first time in a Québec city hotel. We have been to many others and we would definitely recommend the Hotel Manoir Victoria to someone who wants to experiment a beautiful old Québec city feeling!! We can't wait to go back...

A hidden gem of a hotel, inside the Old Quebec City Walls, thus close to so very much History. The Hotel has everything one could need. It is immaculate, the staff is helpful & friendly, there are 2 restaurants on site with a pool & spa as well. It is also just minutes walk to a very many variety of outside restaurants & cafes & the most wonderful French "bakery" is right across the street where they serve coffee & the most delicious food & pastries!! It is a 10 minute walk to the Chateau Frontenac & the quaint restored 200 - 300 year old buildings housing wonderful shops & museums. We have gone 3 consecutive years & plan on going each coming year. It is also quite close to the Train Station.

Me and 4 others stayed only one night at the Manoir. In short: great location, awesome service, awesome bellboy!, very clean and spacious rooms with reasonable shower pressure. For everything it provides I feel like the prices are pretty good as well.

For parking you'll pay $20 per night and they will bring your car in/out whenever you need it. Thankfully I only needed to bring it out once.. I don't like having other people drive my car!

I got to spend two nights at the Hotel Manoir Victoria in Québec and loved every minute of my stay! It was in a great area of town (in the old city) and was very close to the train station($5 + tip). I don't recommend trying to walk because, while it is close, it is very hilly getting to the hotel.

They have a FOUR STAR rating from the Provincial Government, which is a good start. Apart from a very difficult stairway at the entrance, the entire stay there was incredible. My room was Québecois style but very beautiful, with a refrigerator and a wonderful view of the city. The hotel has free internet(which my current hotel in Montréal-The Fairmont Le Reine) does not. That was very handy. The buffet was incredible and well worth the money, to have breakfast in a beautiful dining room. AVOID the overpriced restaurant next to the elevators. It was NOT worth what I paid($40-50 Canadian). Right outside the front door(to the right) is a wonderful grocery store. A sandwich shop is next door and around the corner(to the right) is a cute crêpe restaurant. Try it! As you are facing the beautifully decorated MC DONALDS, turn left and there is a cute hôtel where you can have dinner or lunch. A little down the street is one of the most interesting GENERAL STORES that I have ever seen.

The hotel has an incredibly beautiful pool and spa in the basement. I did not have a car, but I heard the parking to be $20 a day. If you want to go to the (incredible) Galeries de la Capitale, it will cost you (at least) $15-22 one way(by cab).

The staff was incredible and very friendly and made every attempt to speak English with those who did not speak French. it was very hard to leave the hotel.

I managed to get my 4**** hotel for $120/night, which was well worth it. Do not miss seeing the HOTEL FRONTENAC at the top of the hill and take a ride down to the port area with the funicular ($2/ride). What a great experience.

I hope that you love Québec (and this hotel) as much as I did. I will definitely go back!!!!
