“Elegance in the middle of Old Quebec”

Stayed at the Manoir Vicoria. Excellent service, rooms, food. It,s central location is perfect. Surrounded by shops, pubs restaurants. I especially appreciated that the hotel has standards as far as guest behavior is concerned. At no time did they put up with unrully behavior. Would absolutely stay there again. could use a hot tub in their spa.

This is a wonderful, older hotel. The staff is great - helpful in both English and French; the location is perfect. You're still inside the walled city, but within walking distance of the old city containing Chateau Frontenac and yet, still close to the Legislative Building (Assemblee National) and Grande Allee or the Lower Market and train station. There are shops restaurants at hand. Try the crepes next to the Le St. James Restaurant which connects to the hotel. By the way, the rooms are nicely appointed and most are quite spacious. My choice in Quebec City!

This is the fifth hotel on our Canadian holiday and the best location so far. The building is beautiful, staff attentive and helpful mostly bilingual. We had a huge room due to a free upgrade.Breakfast buffet is plentiful and good value. You can turn right fomr the hotel and be in the old city or left to step into the old port. Parking down here is difficult, we found it best to let the atendant take the car and park it, the hotel has a huge lift which whisks the car away to parking deck, totally secure. If you have significant luggage this is also the best way to get it to the room as the attendant has access from the car park to the rooms, otherwise there is a long elegent flight of steps from the front door to negotiate. The hotel has 2 restaurants, we used the Bistro for a fabulous Pizza at about 3 O'clock in the afternoon after driving in from Montreal, we had the whole place to ourselves. There is a small pool in the basement, nice for a relaxing soak, its arranged around a central pillar so swimming is in circles,we also had this to ourselves. Free unlimited WIFI access in room.

My wife and I visited Quebec City for the first time (in end of April during an awful snow blizzard and 25 degree temparatures). Gorgeous city and this hotel is very close to the Chateau Frontenac and major spots of Old Quebec. However, we were given a very tiny and uncomfortable room that was equivalent to an average 2 star hotel or a motel. Better to stay in a large room at a 2 star hotel for less price in Old Quebec than to stay in a closet sized room in a "4 star" hotel. Also, room heat is inadequate and does not go above 24 degree celcius-which is not high when it is freezing outside! I would not recommend this hotel. Parking is $20. Hotel staff is friendly. Hotel decor is nice.

We stayed here for three nights in late March. The staff were excellent, helping get our bags up the staircase, providing maps and walking directions, and always friendly as we came and went throughout the day. The Bell Captain was especially helpful on our last day when we needed to access our luggage a few times after checking out. The hotel location is ideal, we only needed taxis to get to and from the airport, and we could walk everywhere else we needed to go (taxi from the airport was $32). The hotel is just steps from the main street where there are many excellent restaurants and shops, and an incredible bakery called Paillard. The city wall is also just a few minutes walk from the hotel, with the main street passing through one of the gates. We were about a ten-minute walk from the Chateau Frontenac, and from there, just a few minutes more to lower town. We could not have been more pleased with the location. Our room was very clean and well kept, and my only complaint was that it was not well lit. The beds were made up with high-quality linens and pillows and were very comfortable. The hotel itself was very quiet, no noisy guests coming and going in the hallways, and no slamming doors. We had a discounted rate as we were staying for three nights and I thought the hotel was an excellent value. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay at Hotel Manoir Victoria w/our children 5 & 8. The room was comfortable and we loved the location. It was right across the street from Paillard where we ate all our breakfasts and one dinner & lunch. To die for croissants & macarons (different and better IMO than a macaroon)!

We had considered staying at Auberge Place d'Armes and were so glad we switched. We had two large, comfortable queen beds at Manoir Victoria, and would have had a pull out murphy bed for the kids at Place d'Armes. The Manoir room was much larger for the same price and I liked being away from the overcrowded area of town near the Chateau where the other hotel is located. It was still an easy walk to the Citadelle and Upper/Lower towns. Since we drove from the U.S. the valet parking at Hotel Manoir was invaluable.

If you go to Quebec City with kids, don't miss the costume workshops at the Musee de la Civilisation & Centre d'interpretation de Place-Royale!

Just returned from a superb weekend at this hotel. Nothing negative to say. The staff at the front desk, at the restaurant and the valets were so welcoming. Nothing snob about any of them. The food at the Table du Manoir restaurant was devine. This was our first time at this hotel but not the first time in a Québec city hotel. We have been to many others and we would definitely recommend the Hotel Manoir Victoria to someone who wants to experiment a beautiful old Québec city feeling!! We can't wait to go back...
