I recently traveled here with my 3 teenage daughters and we had a great time! The rooms are big (ask for the newly renovated rooms) and the staff is very very friendly and helpful. There are many great restaurants close to the hotel - don't waste your time or money eating at the hotel when there are so many other great options. The spa is outstanding, we loved Marie! We had facials and pedicures -- very nice! Bernard at the front desk is a sweet man and gave great restaurant recommendations.

Room Tip: Ask for newly renovated rooms - the older ones are very dark.

This is an older hotel perfectly situated in the Old Quebec. The refurbishments have kept pace with the times, maintaining an excellent balance between old & new. Like being in a grand hotel from 50 years ago but with a nice salt water pool , massage & workout room. It is a 10 min walk to the St Lawrence River and Old Town with all its tremendous shops, restaurants, etc.

The rooms were maintained very well & the sleeps were excellent. Breakfasts were tasty, reasonably priced & well attended. The hotel staff were very helpful & courteous at all times, which is a big bonus.

Room Tip: Suites were large & easily could accommodate two adults & two kids, plus have lots of room f...

Our family of four stayed in a large room with two queen beds for four nights. The room was clean and well kept and large for an older hotel. The location is perfect for exploring the old city on foot and it is a 15 minute walk to the Chateau Frontenac. There is also indoor Parking which can accommodate an SUV with a ski rack if you park just a short walk away.

We only ate breakfast there and it was just ok. Also, our interaction with the front desk on getting a cot brought up at a reasonable cost (they want $30/ night) wasn't very pleasant and they expressed no flexibility or options to help resolve our issue. The pool and change rooms are very nice and everybody can speak English.

Overall a god solid choice in old Quebec although a bit on the pricey side.

If you are interested in vacationing in Quebec City with your family, you will find that staying at a hotel that is centrally located (meaning within the walls of Old Quebec City – “Vieux Québec”) is very helpful. You can then walk to see the sights and avoid the hassle of looking for parking.

We find the Hotel Manoir Victoria to be an excellent choice for families vacationing in Quebec City. It is located within the walls of the Old City and we have stayed her twice; the most recent stay was in December 2011. The Hotel is clean and well maintained.

Pros:
- Walking distance to the Frontenac (10mins away) and several other of our favorite fun spots (the Erico chocolate museum (20mins), the public (and free) skating rink (10mins), the funicular to the lower town (15mins), etc.)
- Around the corner from several terrific restaurants
- Rooms have very comfortable beds and interesting layouts (no two rooms look alike, I think)
- Staff are cheerful and helpful, and do speak pretty good English
- Hotel offers free WiFi in rooms
- Hotel has an indoor pool

Cons:
- The Hotel restaurant is pricey and not that great (Instead have breakfast at the Resto Café Tatum which is around the corner from the Hotel on Rue St. Jean and offers a good selection of eggs benedict. For dinner, try Le Cochon Dingue in the lower towm, a 15min walk from the Hotel)
- The Hotel has only two elevators and you may find yourself waiting to use them during mid-morning when everyone is leaving the Hotel to go sight seeing.
- WiFi signal can be weak in some corner rooms
- Does not have an outdoor pool

Overall, I recommend this to my friends as a really good choice for people who want to explore Québec City

Room Tip: Ask for high floors as they tend to be quiet. Also see if they will upgrade you to a suite, as thos...

We stayed in this hotel for the weekend with our 2 kids. The location is right in the middle of the old city and centrally located to the sites. We were able to walk around in the cold weather but it was close enough to almost all the main areas that we didn't have to wander far in the cold.
The staff was friendly and very helpful. We loved the quaintness of the hotel. The rooms were cozy and comfortable and very European looking. The price was great and the newly renovated pool was perfect for the kids. I highly recommend this for visitors who want the location and atmosphere of Old Quebec city

I had a good night sleep in a modern room. The location is optimal for my business meetings in the setting of Old Quebec City. The compromise here is a great location but in a Manoir of average quality. Their free HS WiFi was soo slow I had to use my Turbo key. It was my first time there and I will continue to do biz in two nearby hotels that offer higher quality at same price. These were 100% booked so I tried the Manoir.

Beautiful old hotel, located just inside Old Quebec.
I'm not very picky with accommodation, as long as a place is clean, is easy to get to and from, has decent water pressure in the shower and provides decent service, then I'm satisfied.

This place doesn't quite hit all the right spots, but what it does offer, it offers it well.
First up, its not exactly easy to get to. By that, I mean it is uphill from the station... and despite a relatively close distance from the station, if you are lugging heavy luggage, then uphill seems like a LOOOOOONG way away... and then there are more STAIRS to climb. I have never been more happy to see a concierge!

The rooms are magnificent. So beautiful and our room overlooked the main street of Old Quebec, so yes it was a bit noisy at night... but the crowds died down and we were able to sleep quite well in the comfy beds.

Free wifi is great.

Bathrooms were lovely and clean, and beautifully done up.

The service staff were helpful and friendly and even tolerated our rusty school-girl french.
Basically, we enjoyed ourselves immensely and would recommend Hotel Manoir anytime
