“A great night stay in Quebec city”
Reviewed 21 March 2014

we were there for spring break. A very elegant yet cozy place. Valet parking cost $22 per night but the service is impeccable. The only negative aspect is that breakfast cost over $20 per person but Tim Hortons and the Sushi shop is next door. Great location , we walked everywhere. Indoor pool and mini gym.Staff is very friendly. It was perfect for our one night stay.

We just spent 3 days and were very pleased with everything. The room was redone very recently and it was large for in the old town and very nicely done. The bath was great. The hotel is in a perfect location if you are visiting for touristy stuff, you just walk out the front door and you are in the middle of everything. Lots of restaurants, shopping etc. Handy to the historic sites and winter carnival events which were pretty much wound down this week. Valet parking is quick and the garage is right next door so you can probably park yourself. We only took the car out one day so it was not a problem or big expense. The food for breakfast is excellent. The will bring things from the kitchen if you don't see what you like. The person at another table wanted eggs over easy instead of scrambled in the buffet and they were quickly served. The hotel restaurant is very good but we neglected to make reservations in time the day we wanted to go. Make them early. It was school vacation and the place was full of families with kids but it was very quiet and you would never know except when on the elevator or in the lobby. We loved it here and will definitely stay here again. The staff was terrific.

Room Tip: The lobby is up a flight of stairs. The bellman will take care of your bags quickly and with a big s...

Just spent February vacation in Quebec City. Hotel Manoir Victoria is centrally located in the old city. Amazing restaurants and cafes nearby. Hotel Frontenac is a 5 minute walk away. Rooms were great, although they are restoring many of the roooms. Had kids seven and nine. Pool was nice, albeit over chlorinated. Would go back in a second.

Room Tip: Some of the updated rooms looked quite nice, ours was not updated yet and was fine.

Stayed here with my family during the closing days of Winter Carnival. It may sound odd, but I knew we had chosen the right place upon meeting the garage attendants- a warm and helpful bunch who were understandably proud of their truly wonderful City of Québec! The rest of the staff was uniformly terrific.

The rooms were obviously recently updated and well maintained- our only quibble was the limited storage space (dressers) for two people, let alone a family of four.

The restaurants within the hotel were first-rate, but if you just felt like a quick croissant or some crepes for breakfast, they were available just around the corner. The hotel was easy walking distance to most of the city's famous attractions and it was minutes from the highway if you cared to go skiing or visit the countless other points of interest in the area.

We look forward to returning next winter!

The location of this hotel in old town Quebec is just fantastic. We were welcomed by incredibly friendly staff and were offered the chance to upgrade to a newly refurbished room for a very reasonable price. The older rooms are still fine - very clean, very big and comfortable but just a little bit dated in decor.

I have had the opportunity to stay at this hotel several times. This was my first time back in 3 years and it is even more lovlier than I remembered. The rooms have all been recently renovated and they are very nice and modern. The bathroom is large, plenty of mirrors, counter space, and a very large shower. The houskeeping staff does an excellent job and my room was always immaculate. The hotel is in the old city and is walking distance to restaurants, shops, and sights - just a short walk to the lower city. My room was overlooking the main street and I was able to see the bakery across the street and watch them begin their work in the early hours!(I am an early riser)
The staff at the hotel could not be more helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back when I visit Quebec City again. You cannot go wrong staying at the Hotel Manoir Victoria!

My family just returned from a short vacation to Quebec. Based on the reviews on this site, we chose the Hotel Manior Victoria in Old Quebec. The hotel was wonderful. When we pulled up to the hotel, we were met by the doorman who informed us just to leave our car right there. He also asked if we had any bags, when I told him we did, he just asked me for our last name and told us not to worry, go ahead in and check in and he would take car of our car and luggage. The reception area was quite nice as well as the staff who registered us. By the time we made it to the room, the gentleman already had our luggage waiting. The hotel had given us one of the updated rooms, #526, which had a nice view of the city. The hotel is located in the heart of Old Quebec, within easy walking distance to everything, 10 - 15 minutes from all sites and shopping. One of the reviews we read had said the wireless was slow, but ethernet was faster. At first we found it slow, but later, we had 4 devices connected, no one had any issues with the wireless. We also dined in Chez Boulay, excellent food, would definately recommend reservations and it is somewhat expensive. For the 2 of us, with 1 having a drink, the total with tip was $130 CA. The room was nicely cleaned by the housekeeping staff, with no issues and everything worked in the room as it should have. The beds were so comfortable and soft. While we stayed there we used the valet for the car, which was fine because we walked everywhere and never needed to get the car to come and go. Some people stated on the site you could save by parking your own car but the valet parking was just easier. We also used the pool and the spa. The pool, while not large was great for the kids, We did use the spa and it was wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Old Quebec. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: We did request a room away from the elevator and off the ground floor, a tip we followed from this s...
