It's a Hilton so you expect a little more than Motel 6. The room was adequate with a superb view. Location was good. Fan in the bathroom didn't work, and why oh why do these expensive hotels try to sell you a small plastic bottle of water for $3.50?
My wife went to use the pool which was really dirty. The manager said it would be cleaned, but they didn't get around to it until the next day. Stay here if you get a great rate, but skip it otherwise.

let me start listing the positive element of this hotel.
- excellent location, just outside the walls of the old town. easy walk to just about any place one could care to see in this town.
- on hot days the maid comes around in late afternoon and brings bottle water
- a sumptuous bathrobe is provided for after-shower or after-pool wrap-on and relax
- the view from the lounge on the 23rd (top) floor is fantastic (see photo below)
now for the negatives:
- quality of room service is spotty. soap and shampoo in my room were sometimes not replenished. the laundry bags were missing, and even after asking (twice) for a replacement, it was never provided. the mini fridge contained the leftovers from three guests before me (some of the food had started to change color).
- the flow of hot water in the shower is irregular. even after setting the water temperature on the dedicated dial, the water goes cold and hot (depending on other users' flow?) at random. I would not have expected such a problem in an upscale hotel.
- room rates are high (over 200 CAN$ per night)
- help at the reception desk is uneven; don't know if the problem arises from a I-do-not-care attitude in the receptionists, or from a less-then-perfect understanding of english, but I had to ask, and then ask again from someone else before obtaining what I wanted. "Claudia" was particularly noticeable at providing unsatisfactory service.
- my bill at checkout was higher than it should have been. it turns out the complimentary room upgrade was charged as an additional 20 CAN$ per night. After I complained the extra charge was removed, but that negated the 'express checkout'. lesson learned: carefully examine the bill before checkout, even when it comes 'compliment of the manager' and sealed with a fancy sticker.
in-room internet is free for some guests, or at-a-fee; it depends upon your status with the Hilton club and whether you are associated with any event taking place in town. considering that less-posh hotels offer unlimited, no-strings-attached free internet, this Hilton policy seems petty (to use a charitable word).
except for the view, I want to believe there are better values in town at this (and other) price points. I would not recommend this hotel to a friend.

Room Tip: on any floor, the x06 room faces head-on a busy uphill street, where heavy vehicles gun their engine...

This is a very good hotel. The staff is amazing: they are ready all the time to help, with a smile. The rooms are well-equipped, clean and of nice size; mine had a very nice view also. The WiFi is impeccable. Major touristic attractions and restaurants are at a walking distance. If you get a good price for it, it is the best choice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the upper stories, with a nice view. They will provide one if they have.

This is a very nice Hilton with friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, and spectacular views of Quebec (at least from the 16th floor). Very comfortable bed - we had to ask for at thinner pillow, and that was delivered promply. Good internet.

The location is really great, very close to the Old Quebec, but also to Rue Saint-Jean, which is a must- visit with restaurants, shops and supermarkets.

We would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Stayed here for a ski trip in the dead of winter. This Hilton was good property with a good view of the city. I found the room service to be pretty good as well for breakfast. The noise level was moderate and did not bother us. Would stay again.

Our room was on the 20th floor and we had a remarkable view on the rivers and part of the Old Quebec. The people are extremely polite and friendly. We were there in the summer festival quebec. Everything was within walking distance. Amazing stay.

This was our first trip to Quebec City & we got a room on one of the higher floors which had a nice view, not of the old city but the opposite side, it looked much better at night with not many surrounding buildings as high as Hilton.

The room was plain & average, nothing special about it. Definitely could use being better decorated & warm.
The location is good although the hotels inside the walls of the old Quebec City might at a more comfortable walking distance from the Quartier Petite Champlain & Frontenac & all the main attractions & restaurants & cafés of old Quebec City.

The hotel has its own paid parking, all in all, it's was a good value for money but we would definitely like the try some other hotels inside the walls of old Quebec City & which might have a little more character!!
