I stayed at the Hilton Québec City for two days in February while I was attending a conference at the hotel. It is a perfectly acceptable place to stay in a great location just outside the walls of the old city.

I arrived on a Sunday night and check-in was quick and easy. Ordered room service, which came quickly. The room service menu is not extensive or varied but what I ended up ordering was tasty. They did not offer very many healthy options. The room was fine, large enough with all the modern amenities. I had a king bed but my one complaint was that it wasn't very comfortable... I guess I've come to expect pillow-top mattresses at most mid to high end business hotels.

The conference facilities were excellent and the food was pretty good throughout the two days. Again, they could ad in some healthier options for snacks at break time. I was surprised that they didn't offer free internet service at their business centre.

The location is fantastic: right next to the Parliament buildings and near the Citadel/Plains of Abraham, and about a three-minute walk from the old city. I walked to the Petit Champlain district in about 15 minutes.

Overall this was a fine experience, but Québec City has so many beautiful boutique hotels and charming B&Bs, and I would recommend staying at one of these if you are travelling here on vacation. The Hilton is pretty charmless.

The Hilton Quebec is a safe bet for tourists and business people alike. It is located on the next to the entrance to Old Quebec, the Quebec Parliament and the Plaines d'Abraham. From many floors, many rooms will offer great views of the lowertown, the St-Lawrence River, old Quebec and so on.

The hotel has recently upgraded some of its common areas such as the main lobby, the area leading to the pool/gym and has moved its executive lounge to the top floor. The new Lounge is contemporary/modern and is surrounded by panoramic windows, once again offering great views of what Quebec City has to offer.

The pool is an oudoor heated pool and the hotel gym is quite decent having access to several cardio and body building machines. Beware that even with the relatively large options of fitness equipment, it can get quite busy early in the morning has the hotel gym is also accessible to "members".

As far the rooms themselves, the room I was assigned to was quite average and the room design/layout no longer fits with the more modern look of the rejuvenated common areas. Rooms at the Hilton are fairly standard in size and layout, with the exception of a few rooms on each floor. Everything was clean and in working order so no problems there. One thing that I like about the rooms at this hotel though is that there is a little "vent" just beneath the window that you can open to get some "fresh" air.

As of late, the Hilton has started to be somewhat more expensive than other hotels in the area. Although it should be rated slightly better than many hotels in this area, the price difference sometimes isn't justified, providing for poor value.

I got a very decent price through the hotel's website. Especially considering I was going for New Years. ($159/King/Riverview).

The room was on the 15th floor and view was spectacular. The hotel is located at the top of parliament hill (Quebec legislature). The room boasted an incredible view of the old town and St. Lawerence.

The room was ok, but nothing close to the Hilton Gatineau, Quebec. Regular bathroom, tiled, nothing special. The mattress was thin, and way too firm. In good condition though. Old uncomfortable chairs (low back). No flat screen televisions here. The room had an old JVC, that hummed (more of a high pitched squeal) so loud I couldn't watch it.

The fitness room had lots equipment, but was small and crowded. NO HOT TUB! No indoor pool. They have an outdoor pool that is open year round, but the water was only 83 degrees, and the outside temperature was -20, so that wasn't an option.

Food was very good. Slightly above average in terms of price, but the quality was excellent.

Parking was very efficient. Valet was $25/day.

Have stayed at ths Hilton before but was very disappointed when we booked our stay on the executive floor whch included breakfast. I was traveling with 6, including 2 kids, and thought this would be a good deal. However, when we checked in we were told that the Executive floor was under renovation so we were offered a downgrade with a continental breakfast. We took the downgrade. No water or other ammenities in the room. The mini bar this time was empty.

I will say the room service and food was overall good. However, the underground mall attached to the Hilton was practically empty. Why I don't know.

The hotel is well located, but overall there are much better values in the area

I stayed here for a conference. Had spent time in Quebec City before, so knew the area. The hotel is just outside the walls of old town, and is a high rise, in a area with few restaurants or shops, but just a short walk of a couple of blocks to the old city. On the side facing the parliament building there are breathtaking views of the building and the plains of Abraham. The hotel is a little bit older, but updated and very comfortable rooms with all the modern amenities. Another highlight was the staff. Always friendly, always helpful. We had several lunches with speakers, and the wait staff was so professional -- clearing and serving quietly and at just the right time so there was minimal disruption. Perfect. I also had room service for breakfast and again, the staff was professional, always on time, and very, very nice. My only complain is the charge for internet services in the room (and in business center downstairs) which I always find annoying. Otherwise, this was a great stay at a first rate property.

The location is good right on Rene-Levesque, just outside the city walls. It is convenient for walking round the old city and attending events in the Convention centre which is attached to the hotel.

The room was small and not very comfortable for the price. The bathroom was clean but tired. You are obviously paying for location not the facilities. There were additional surcharges for using the telephone (even toll free numbers). Internet access was available but you have to pay extra. There was valet parking at a charge of $25/day, no free parking.

Check in/check out was easy and straightforward, lots of people working in the lobby to carry bags etc..

There was a restaurant but if you go down below the lobby into the convention centre, there was a reasonable foodcourt for a much cheaper and perfectly good breakfast.
