We have just came back from Easter holiday in Quebec City and, unfortunately we stayed at this hotel... We booked the "European room" so you knew that the room would be small...in fact It was much smaller than we expected and the washroom was very, very tinny. Everything was very old, the room looked like a old cheap motel room. But this was not the worst part. The worst are the thin paper walls! We could not sleep in any night we stay there! We could hear every talk, sound, sneeze, music from inside and outside the hotel. To get things worst our room faced the main street where there are lots of bars, restaurants and noise, of course! We changed rooms in the second night, but the noise from corridor woke us up at 7 am...I know that was not a fault of the hotel the 2 kids crying and yelling outside our door at 7 am...but any decent hotel has some kind of acoustic isolation.
Besides that they charged us $19 plus tax for the parking...very expensive!
The service was good, the location is also nice (close to restaurants, walking distance to Old Town). The facade and the lobby are really nice, we really think we are in a 4 stars hotel...until we go to your motel "European" room! :(
I would never comeback....and I DO NOT recommend Chateau Laurier.More
