This hotel is on a fairly busy street in Old Quebec, yet our room - facing the street on the 3rd floor - was amazingly quiet. (It was hot so we were usually using some AC, which probably factored into the quietness.) You can walk out the door and have your choice of amazing restaurants (try the nice Moroccan one through the archway directly across the street) and all of the attractions such as tours, street performers, etc. The staff was very nice. They leave breakfast for you outside your room (in a lovely basket), and the pastries are good, but the nasty fruit cocktail is, well, nasty, and you can just skip the industrially-bland in-room coffee. Prices are a bit too high for the size of the room, but prices are all high in Old Quebec in the summer.

You can't get any better!! This charming hotel is in the best location within the walls of Old Quebec which you should stay in. The service is genuine and extremely helpful in all areas. The rooms spacious, very clean and the breakfast included is so European style, nice touch! I can't say enough, I am very fussy and like details, this hotel is it from all angles, staff, rooms, service, location. I truly can't wait to go back.

Thank you Pierot and Geoffrey - your service outstanding!!!

We were traveling with our 2 daughters and nephew as well as our 2 dogs. What a great reception when we got to the hotel. It was right in the centre of everything, easy walking distance to all the historic sites. The gentleman at the front desk was great with our kids. They had movies the kids could borrow and watch on the VCR's in the room and when they checked them out, the man at the front desk popped up popcorn for them to take up and make the night complete. They had a great lounge with a fireplace on the main floor where you could sit and relax.
The rooms were clean, a good size especially for the price which is a fraction of what other hotels near buy cost. But it had so much more charm and character.
Just when we didn't think it could get any better, the next morning there were these great baskets on the front door with hot croissants, yogurt and juice.
If you are going to Quebec City, book this hotel. It was quiet, the rooms were great, the service was wonderful. Can't say enough about how great out stay was here.

I think this hotel does a nice job with customer service. The gentleman working at the front desk was extremely professional and attentive to the needs of my family. I actually overhead him on the phone one time – in a conversation where he was attempting to guide a lost patron through the streets of Quebec back to the hotel. (“What is to your right? Okay, I know where you are…you need to go…what do you see now?...). His efforts were genuine and he seemed to take a personal interest in the guests of the hotel—even offering my son homemade ice cream on a hot afternoon.

This hotel has some nice touches—like a breakfast basket with fresh pastries and juice delivered to your door each morning. The location of this hotel couldn’t be much better for tourists. My husband really liked this hotel. I thought our room was small and the bathroom was smaller. (About 3x4 foot of unoccupied floor space!) I tend to like a more contemporary and open feel to a hotel, but this hotel is within the old walled portion of the city, and they aren't going for a sleek look, obviously. We did have some trouble with street noise at night, but we also stayed during the summer festival, and there were many people in the streets into the early morning hours. All in all, I would recommend this hotel.

What a lovely, quaint, hospitable, service-oriented hotel. I booked thru an online travel site after talking with one of the hotel staff on the phone who encouraged me to book through the travel site to get a $50/night discount. We requested a baby crib (pack 'n' play) for our 7 month old and upon arrival were pleased to find a very spacious room even with the crib. The bathroom was quite small (very little counter space), but, certainly adequate for a long weekend. The room was clean and the staff were polite, helpful and spoke English perfectly. The location is perfect - walking distance to all of the key Old Town landmarks. We will ONLY stay at this hotel next time we are in QC.

We were at this hotel four years ago, and were glad to return. Excellent location in the Old City, especially during the music festival with the pubs and street performers on this street. The street noise was never a problem. The two rooms we had were recently re-furbished and were very nice.
The only caveat is the parking situation: We were here for 5 days, and had to park 3 times. Parking is $14 per day. Each time we were able to use the parking garage about 30 yards from the hotel. This parking garage is getting some much-needed repairs, so space is limited. The garage is damp and poorly ventilated. On one trip to our car, there was an older woman who slipped on the damp concrete steps and broke her leg. For this reason, I would not recommend this hotel for elderly people who have difficulty walking, especially since the only other parking choice is a few blocks away at the hospital.

We picked this hotel based on previous TA reviews. It was a great choice. Reasonably priced and located in the upper old town within walking distance of all the major sites and restaurants in old Quebec. Rooms were clean, comfortable and very quiet given the location. The staff were wonderful - very friendly and always willing to assist. The breakfast basket delivered to the room each morning was an added bonus - something different each day, always fresh and more than we could eat!

Overall, it reminded us more of a small European inn than a North American hotel. Exactly what we were looking for.
