Tonight is our second of a 2 night stay here, it is peak season and a long weekend so the room ended up being $206/ night for a double and twin. The staff have been exceptionally friendly and helpful. The free continental breakfast was very good with a large variety... Everything from bagels, cinnamon buns and mini quiche to yogurt, cereals and fresh fruit. Our room has the original original brick and stone walls giving it a definite old world charm. The parking is a bit of a nuisance, it's about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and costs $15/24 hour period. But on street parking is free from 9 pm- 9 am, so if you are coming late or leaving early its cheaper to take advantage if it. The location is amazing. We were able to easily walk everywhere we wanted to go. I would recommend this hotel to a friend!

A cozy, charming old-school boutique hotel best suited for active couples. Inside the walls of Vieux Quebec, directly on Parc de l'Esplanade, it offers a comfortable sleep and acceptable breakfast in a very convenient, romantic location.

If you're gong to be out in the city, it's a terrific place and solid value. If you expect to spend time in your room or in the hotel, look elsewhere. But if a straightforward, no-frills yet everything-you-really-need hotel in the Old City is what you desire, look no further.

Room Tip: Upper floor, corner room.

My husband and I have been staying at this hotel for years. Why change when we find the place that has all that we need. The people are so nice and very helpful. We can't wait for July to go there again.

Due to difficult circumstances beyond our control, we had to cancel our visit. Despite giving several days notice, having to lose a long-planned trip to Quebec and the burden of costs just to get home, Manoir de L’Esplanade charged us for one of our two nights anyway, requiring 8 days cancellation notice. Whether or not this is a good hotel, they have little compassion.

We stayed here after staying at the Auberge du Vieux Port in Montreal which was a wonderful, modern hotel, so that might have jaded my opinion. The hotel itself was clean. It did not seen like anything out of the ordinary, and the bathroom is outdated. It was OK but not great. One of the staff was friendly but another was very cold. Didn't feel as warm and friendly as some other hotels. Wish we stayed at Hotel 71 as was recommended by the folks at the Auberge du Vieux Port in Montreal - oh well.

Room Tip: The bagels at breakfast were good. The location is close to the Citadel. The parking situation was...

Found this charming and wonderful little gem quite by accident. Even though we arrived late, with no reservation, and hadn't decided yet whether to spend one night or two, the night clerk was friendly and helpful, giving us one of the best few rooms he had left at a slightly reduced price because he couldn't guarantee it would be free for two nights if we did decide to stay. We happily agreed to move to a new room if we stayed a second night.

The 'continental' breakfast, included with the room fee, was just wonderful. We expected muffins and watery coffee. What we got was as much food as you could want. Hot and cold cereal, toast, bagels, croissants, yogurt, fresh fruit, waffles, and more.

The owners, who dealt with us next morning, were equally friendly, helpful and so accommodating we couldn't believe it. When we decided to stay a second night (partly because we loved the hotel!), they went out of their way to ensure that we didn't have to change rooms after all, even though we had been informed ahead of time, and had agreed to move for a second night.

The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and maintained without losing the charm of a period building. The rooms are comfortable and tasteful without going overboard. Some might find them a bit small, but those folks are better off at a Holiday Inn. Rooms were small in the 1840s. It wasn't hard to close our eyes and imagine being back in that time, albeit on a much more comfortable bed. :)

You can't beat the central location. We were steps away from the most vibrant section of Vieux Québec and didn't need our car once while we stayed. The parking is a bit of an adventure to get to the first time, but again the staff came through with a detailed map and instructions on how to get there and back. It turned out to be easier than it looked at first glance and we appreciated not having to worry about parking during our stay.

All in all, a wonderful experience and definitely our first choice for hotel next time we are in Quebec City.
