Superb location, just inside city walls and very near to Plains of Abraham (site of Winter Carnaval). Desk staff very helpful. Breakfast was decent (2nd day, as promised, was more fully stocked w/items they'd run out of the prior day).

Does have an elevator which is nice w/luggage and evidently not super common in that neighborhood. 3rd floor room was utilitarian, small-ish bathroom w/ mini-tub, not really any counters so was very careful when balancing drinking glass on sloped side of sink. Nice view over roof lines toward Chateau Frontenac.

Even w/earplugs, was woken up both mornings by one or more children in 4th floor that were evidently running back and forth and back and forth (even before sugary treats at breakfast?????). That's one of the main reasons it's 3 not 4 out of 5. Perhaps if you stay on the 4th (top) floor you get a full night's sleep.

In any case was happy to find a place to stay somewhat last minute during the Carnaval.

Room Tip: 4th floor - but tread softly in deference to those below you!

The rooms are immaculate, the price of the room quite reasonable. The hotel is on the corner of the main road in Old Quebec. It stands quietly and unassuming blending into the historical structures around it. The rooms reflect the marriage of Old Quebec with the high ceilings and stone walls, with flat screens and very comfy beds. The hotel is
owned by a oriental family whom want nothing more than to please you. There is no parking area for the hotel so be prepared for a short hike up the hill to one of the large parking garages where you can leave your car for the entire stay at $15. 00 per day. There is no need for a car in Old Quebec as it is a walking city, and if you do tire they have electric buses for $1.00 that go around the entire city. Each morning a free breakfast is served offering pastries, bagel, cereals and yogurt. average fare.
I would suggest if you are a light sleeper to ask for a room not facing the street, as traffic is constant. The trade off was the beautiful view we had of Parliament and the fort.

Lodged at manior d'esplanade for three nights early September, found the location to be perfect between old and new
Rooms spotless, with service attentive but not intrusive. Breakfast was included and good. Will stay here again.

The hotel was very nice. Clean, room had plenty of space. ( we paid an extra $10/night for an upgraded room). the staff was friendly and helpul, recommending restaurants, providing directions to sites and information on parking. The hotel has a great location in old Quebec. Made exploring very easy. Breakfast was basic but good. Would definitely stay again.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room was plain but comfortable and had a great view from the 4th floor. Very conveniently located to stores, restaurants, and historic sites. The continental breakfast is plain but good.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms have a great view.
