We picked this hotel for our 25th wedding anniversary. Everything about it was delightful, from the decor and appointments to the location to the service to the Artefact lounge in the lobby. I cannot recommend it highly enough; though we did not eat at its restaurant, Panache, something tells me that it would measure up as well.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 6th (top) floor, with a balcony that encompassed both river and city views.

Excellent stay at first-rate hotel. From the moment we arrived to an upgraded room, every member of the staff went out of his/her way to be helpful -- a valet drove us to dinner rather than have us call for a taxi, a doorman spent 15 minutes telling us about his favorite restaurants in the city, the concierge provided us with detailed information and suggestions about our next stop, Montreal. The hotel itself is beautiful and in an ideal location in the lower old village but also a short walk to the fun St Roch neighborhood. Every detail was perfect.

You've already read all of the other Titles for reviews of this Hotel. What more can be said?

This was out first time at a Relais & Chateaux property. If I were thirty years younger, I would get a College Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, then a Masters Degree and camp out at Relais & Chateaux headquarters until I got a job. Then I would stay forever climbing the ladder of excellence.

This Property is exceptional, and on par with Ritz Carlton. On an entirely different level than the Frontenac. The Hotel decor is White and Modern. Two levels on the Lobby. The Evening crowd is mostly older and affluent, but old Quebec City is steps away. The inclusive breakfast is anything on the extensive menu and is superlative. The wait staff made us sad to leave. One thing missing though; a Spa with pool, steam, and such.

The atmosphere is beyond friendly. The rooms beautiful. We are selective travelers and serious TripAdvisor Critics. I can tell you, this place is outstanding.

Great job Auberge Sainte Antoine, great job. Great job Relais & Chateaux. You should be proud of yourselves in this world of vanilla and average. We will definitely be back. Old Quebec is charming and beautiful, and so is The Auberge Sainte Antoine.

Stayed at threAuberge Saint-Antoine for a philanthropic conference in October. The location is lower old city which i love, great shopping if you like fur just steps away. The rooms are basic, with big bathrooms and heated floors which were heavenly. There must have been 12 different light switches in the room which was excessive and complicated. But the staff were kind and helpful, the gym is good for a boutique hotel with many different machines and free weights in a cozy space with a yoga studio. They offer complimentary yoga on Saturdays at 11am and you can hire an instructor for individual sessions. The food at panache was excellent, the duck confit eggs Benedict panache I had for breakfast was superb, ordered the same thing both days. Overall, highly recommend this hotel and will return.

I know, perfect is a pretty high bar, and I suppose that one person's perfect is another's pretty good. But for me, this was one of the best hotels I've experienced in my years of extensive travels around the world. This hotel made us feel good!

It's not that the hotel is grand... like so many over-sized, gilded showcases staffed with too cool for school bellman and clerks. The Auberge Saint-Antoine seems small by Las Vegas standards, but large enough to be impressive and small enough to give it a comfortable a human scale -- it feels like it was designed for humans, not conventions. The juxtaposition of contemporary design within a historical architectural framework is inspiring.

The owners have shown their passion for embracing the fascinating history of Quebec City by showcasing artifacts found around and under the site during excavation. They delayed construction for years while archaeologists unearthed thousands of large and small artifacts many hundreds of years old. Artifacts that told the story of a great city and its people from its founding in the 1600s. And they have displayed many of those artifacts in artful ways though-out the hotel, including in the rooms.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable and ours had a balcony with wonderful views of the upper city. The beds were comfortable, firm, but not hard and the bedding was just right, smooth and and just the right weight for sleeping. The bathroom was contemporary with a roomy bathtub and great shower. There was an electric fireplace that took the chill off quickly and a large flat screen TV. And it was very very quiet.

The staff was extremely efficient and friendly, proactively helping us when ever they thought we might need a hand. The guest reception was exceptional with fine wine and hot appetizers with many of the senior staff available to chat and make sure we were comfortable. One of the owners actually attends these gatherings every Wednesday to make sure her guests are being taken care of. We even met a former astronaut, Joe Allen and his wife who were staying there.

The location is also perfect from our perspective, because our cruise ship we would take the next day was docked a few hundred feet away across the street from hotel. And all of the old town shops, museums and restaurants were within easy walking distance.

The hotel also had one of the best hotel restaurants we've experienced. Their main restaurant, Panache, is housed in a wonderfully light and airy old stone and beam warehouse that is tastefully incorporated into part of the hotel.

They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and they do it very, very well, there talented young French chef would be a super star in the states. If you read some of my other hotel reviews, you'll see I don't gush over them, but in this case, gushing is well deserved. It will be our home in this beautiful Canadian city whenever we return.

Room Tip: We stayed on the sixth floor facing the upper old city, it was very quiet. Don't miss the breakf...

This is an exquisite beautiful hotel on the port waters of Quebec City within walking distance of many fine restaurants including its own! A beautifully appointed hotel with wonderful views we enjoyed the rooms as much as the city. The service was so very friendly. All of the staff were experts on top of their duties and carrying out any wish with perfection. It made me smile just to be here among these wonderful folks. What a great hotel!

Simply put, we can not say enough wonderful things about this hotel. From the moment of arrival until the doors close behind you when you leave, you are well cared for and attended to. Our room with a balcony was quiet, clean, peaceful, enjoyed a great view of the massive Saint Lawrence river and a FABULOUS bath room, large, clean, modern, European. Honestly, once the room door closed we never heard a sound... no elevator, no room next door, no traffic, no cruise ship.... only the fog horn on Saturday morning got through and that was just simply romantic :) The hotels location was excellent; walking distance to everything; loads of restaurants from which to choose; plenty of shopping. The interior decor was excellent, the artifacts fascinating, the bar was (my husband says evil) over the top in its offerings and they poured a mean drink, although if I had one complaint about the entire hotel it was the odd popcorn that was served while at the bar. We enjoyed great room service, great spa treatments, great concierge assistance and excellent rest. Fabulous hotel!! Go Relais & Chateaux!!
