We recently spent three nights at this Relais Château property in basse Ville.
Our check in went well, although they were unable to upgrade us to a river view.
The room was pretty, although the navy blue paint made the whole room quite dark.
It was kept very clean by housekeeping and the Beekman bath products were lovely.
We had breakfast in the casual restaurant the first morning and we were not impressed.
It was supposed to be a buffet, but many of the food items were missing. The solo server
was very scattered and kept apologizing as she searched for jam, cream, butter etc.
The charge for this mish mash of a continental breakfast was $19,00 per person and neither the service, nor the food warranted that price. It was certainly not worthy of the Relais Château brand.
We ordered room service for breakfast one morning. The cream and milk were missing. By the time we got them, our coffee was cold.
After reading recent reviews of Chez Muffy and chatting with a server at a venerable , extremely well rated Québec restaurant where we had dinner, we chose not to eat here.
The young men working at the door were very helpful and kind. Some of the front desk people, not so much. I waited ten minutes to get our luggage back, as the gentleman at the front desk ignored me, while he talked on the phone.
We have stayed at other Relais Château properties, and for the price, we did not feel that this one was up to the brand level.

Room Tip: River view rooms are the best.

SUCH a lovely hotel! I highly recommend this hotel, even for the pickiest travelers. Although we didn't get an upgraded room, the room was comfortable, quiet and had the coziest bed and softest bedding ever! You can literally melt into the sheets and sleep like a baby :-) Turndown service was a treat. Special touches like mood lighting and soft music set the stage each and every evening. Dinner in the restaurant was also excellent...and who can complain about a delicious breakfast overlooking the river! Auberge Saint Antoine is a must stay for the urbane traveler!

My husband and I recently visited beautiful Quebec City and stayed at the Auberge St Antoine. This is a lovely hotel, located in the 'lower city" with views of the St Lawrence river. Upon arrival our room was upgraded! The room was well appointed with a terrace facing the river, a good size bathroom with a great shower, comfortable bed.The staff was very courteous and helpful, the concierge recommended 2 restaurants that were excellent. There is a large bar with restaurant on the first level ( we didn't eat there only because there are so many good restaurants throughout the city) and a restaurant with outside seating for breakfast which we did use. The hotel is located very close to the markets, shopping areas, and restaurants yet the noise level was minimal in our room. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

High quality, well-functioning hotel exhibiting archeological artefacts discovered during its conversion from old waterfront buildings. Our room (at the low end of the price range) was spacious, well appointed, comfortable, clean and completely dust-free. The bathroom was also spacious with a very deep bath, good lighting, towels that did not have undesirable odour and very cosy underfloor heating. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant but did take the continental breakfast each morning. The offerings were fresh, tasty and very good value. Service was superb from being met as we pulled up to the curb to the final loading of luggage and being given directions to our next destination when we departed three days later.

I felt like our comfort was their #1 priority. Nothing was over looked. Special touches: a collection of up to date magazines by a soft velvet chair in the room, with a handy reading lamp nearby. Seriously black out curtains so we are not bothered by city street lights or city noise. Silky soft sheets. ( We slept like babies) heated bathroom floor! An enormous deep bath tub. The most luxurious towels we have ever used. A beautiful turn down service at night. When we entered our room at night, soft music was playing, and everything in place for a restful sleep. We really appreciated the concierge's suggestions which were spot on for us. The decor of the lobby, restaurants, hallway and rooms was a delight, especially the interesting artifacts artfully displayed throughout. The breakfast was delicious. We were served breakfast each morning by the sunniest, sweetest waitress who went out of her way to treat us well. Auberge Saint Antoine is a first class experience.
