My husband and I went to Babylone Cafe on a trip for our tenth anniversary. It's sometimes tricky to find good veggie-friendly places in QC, but this one was great - I had an incredible mushroom ravioli, and it came with a tasty salad on the side ($14). The ambience was lovely - it's relatively small, but full of life with warm colours and vivid paintings all around.
Another nice thing is that this place does live music every Friday and Saturday night (we saw Gypsophilia Halifax, who was fantastic!). That's why I want to stress that we had an absolutely wonderful time, but it our experience was certainly enhanced greatly by the musicians who happened to be there that night. (Note that you may have to pay extra to watch the act depending on who it is.)
I'd recommend making a reservation if you're going after 8, since it got kind of busy. The service was not the greatest, however. The server was busy and slightly rude (not in an overt way, just in the way of forgetting about you because he's too busy, but then not really being apologetic about it, either). But overall it was a great night, perfect for celebrating our anniversary!
