Just completed a three night stay at the hotel. I got a basic room (121) and it turned out to be very comfortable and perfect for my stay. It was quiet (from external noise) and quiet internally with respect to a quiet heating-cooling system. It has windows on two sides and a door to the parking area (very convenient). The room was very clean. The location couldn`t have been better. Walk out the front door and you are a half a block from one of the two main streets heading toward the heart of the old city along the St. Laurence River. Then it is a short walk to wherever you want to go. If you have a vehicle, parking is pricey ($18.50 per night) but there are no street alternatives (everything is metered) and area parking garage fees are the same or more). The breakfast is wonderful. You walk around the corner to a very nice restaurant and have a terrific buffet with crepes, eggs, sausage, potatoes, fruit, yogurt, muffins and cereal. I had read that some people didn`t like the idea of walking to breakfast-you have got to be kidding me. They have a hot tub on the top floor which I used one day and it was delightful. The staff was always wonderful although the English of some was better than others.

We asked for a deluxe room with a classic stone wall, we were given the only room down stairs, and the wall was a plastic stone wall, that was a bit disappointing, but there was an outside sitting area which was nice and a soaker tub. We found the room a little stuffy, the front desk service were very nice. We wouldn't stay in that room again but have heard of other people having a positive experience. The hotel was nice it's just the downstairs room we didn't really enjoy.

Good hotel, good service, clean, good location, affordable price, buffet breakfast included when booking on their website and parking available (but it's $18/day! )
We had room 211, right off the reception area and by the stairs so it was a little noisy during the day but pretty quiet at night. Really comfortable bed. The location is great, close to a lot of good restaurants and a walking distance to everything in Old Quebec.
We will not hesitate to go back to this hotel for our next stay in Quebec City.

Our check in went smoothly and the valet carried our bags up to our very comfortable room and took care of our car. Whenever we needed it again, we just told them at the desk, and it was brought to the door. (Parking costs approximately 20.00 per day including tax)
Our room was a Deluxe two doubles with breakfast included and we were very pleased with it. The room was spotlessly clean (hardwood floors with area rug) and tastefully decorated with artwork and brick and stone walls. The beds were extremely comfortable with fine bedding. There was a roomy desk on which my computer could be set up and the WiFi was fast. The bathroom consisted of two rooms- one with the sink and further on another room with toilet and tub with a great shower. One added touch was a table on which was an ice bucket and four wine glasses. There was a small coffee maker with supplies to make that "first of the day" cup of java.
There is a cosy lounge with comfortable chairs and an outdoor patio if weather cooperates. Unfortunately when we were there, it was rainy and cold so we did not enjoy the outdoor facilities.
The included breakfast was at a very nice restaurant, Le Feu Sacre, just around the corner from the hotel. It was a self serve breakfast which included scrambled eggs, sausage, baked beans, crepes, toast, fruit, muffins, yogurt, juice, coffee or tea. Everything one could desire with attentive wait staff.
The location was perfect to explore the old city and many restaurants and shops within easy walking distance.
My only word of warning is that there is no elevator, as is the case in most of the Old City hotels, so if climbing stairs is a problem, this hotel is not for you.
All staff members that we encountered were friendly and helpful.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would return in a minute.

We enjoyed this authentic historical hotel's ambiance. It is part of Hotels Nouvelle-France (four facilities in Old Quebec). This part of Quebec City feels very European, with cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, and hills slanting toward the port.
We appreciated that our initial room was changed promptly after we reported a problem in the bath area. The management leaves a little card asking guests to bring any concerns to their attention so that they can be addressed, and they are true to their word. Our room was comfortable and spacious. Do expect some street noise in any building this old.
Front desk staff, especially Melissa, was helpful in making a dinner reservation, helping with luggage, and calling a taxi.
Breakfast is served in a nearby restaurant. Suffice it to say that it emphasizes quantity over quality and presentation. We bought croissants & muffins to have with tea in our room instead.

I spent a 3-nights week-end with my boyfriend at Hotel Acadia (booked with Expedia) from Sept 15 to Sept 18, and we both really loved it! It was beautiful and very quiet, the staff was very friendly and helpful, everything was very clean. The room was a little small but we didn't really mind as we didn't plan on spending the whole week-end locked inside anyways! The location is perfect, it is close to everything without being on a busy and annoying street. The only negative thing for us was that my boyfriend had to go outside downstairs every time he wanted a cigarette because there was no balcony, but that's what he gets for being a smoker ;) ! Overall we had a really great vacation and we really liked Hotel Acadia. Cute brick wall, flat screen tv, big comfy Queen bed. We recommend it & would definitely go back!

Room Tip: It's and old hotel in Old Quebec so there is a lot of stairs and no elevator (tip for the eldery...

When we first arrived Hotel was very busy. We were placed in a delux room, very small and gloomy but clean and serviceable. As we had booked a three night stay we asked for a larger room and were offered a suite at a small additional charge.
Staff very amenable and swapped the room whilst we were out see the Quebec sights.
On our return we were amazed at the difference in the room. Very spacious lounge area, separate bedroom etc. A total contrast.
Would suggest confirm the room when booking and consider the suite option if staying more than one night.
Hotel in brilliant location right in the heart of the old city. Old building so be prepared for lack of lifts. Be aware of room types as contrast significant. Staff helpful.
Excellent choice.
