We stayed one night after a cruise. The beds were great. It was a perfect place to stay in the upper part of the old city

This place is what you think of when a small Quebec inn comes to mind. Rooms were on the small side but very clean and quiet. Minutes to Chateau Fronenac and other main Quebec shopping areas. The location is great right inside old Quebec and I'm glad we stayed here as it was our first time visiting Quebec, however I'd be interested in checking out the other hotels right outside of the wall as they are probably significantly cheaper and only an extra 4 minute walk to bustling pedestrian areas. Concierge/check-in takes place at their sister hotel around the corner (Hotel Acadia). Everyone was friendly and speaks English. $18/day to park and free wi-fi.

this was the worst hotel I ever stayed!! The building is extremely old and the rooms are terrible. Never thought I would get such a bad place to stay. If you see my reviews I'm never so rude about a place but this has nothing good to talk about! The bathroom was dirty and full of hair and even the previous guest bathroom soap was there!! Can you believe this?! For the first time I left the hotel without taking a shower, because I couldn't stand hair all over the bathroom from previous guest. They didn't clean the room at all and the entire hotel looks very filthy. The breakfast was a joke, one croissant, one cup of coffee and that's it!

Parking outside is quite difficult and the area looks a bit dodgy!

This hotel was cheap but even if it's free I wouldn't stay there again!!

We wanted to stay in Old Quebec and this location was perfect: a quiet street, but near all the action of this historic, beautiful, clean city. Hotel staff were amiable, but quite young and not terribly knowedgeable. We had booked a Classic room and I had asked for a quiet location, which we had. Our room was small, as I would have expected, but the decor in both it and the stairway were very drab and in need of a facelift. The shower stall was so tiny that you could hardly bend over if you dropped the soap or razor. We booked the Gastronomic Package which included an upgraded breakfast, dinner at one of their affiliated restaurants and $10 discount on a bottle of wine. We actually thought the basic (included with all rooms) breakfast was quite good: coffee and orange juice, home baked muffin, delicious yogurt with some granola and slices of fresh fruit (though not very ripe). The restaurant Le Feau Sacre, where breakfast is eaten, served a delicious dinner in a historic setting.
In all, with small touches and little cost, this hotel could be so much better. Therefore we would not stay here again, until they rennovate.

Hotel Acadia was quite disappointing. We stayed in a 'deluxe' room with brick wall that with parking ended up costing $200 for 1 night. The room was quite small and the bathroom even smaller. The view was of the parking lot. This even though we reserved the room on the hotel's own website at the normal rate. I can only imagine what one gets with a discount hotel provider (I saw stairs leading to basement rooms!). I understand that it is Old Quebec and that the building is historic (beautiful too), but the value just wasn't there. The decor was very plain and sparse and there was no extra touch, although the hanging light was nice. We ended up skipping the $4 breakfast and heading to another place further out. I wouldn't come back. I'd pay a little extra and stay somewhere much nicer (Louisbourgh, Grand Allee, Armitage etc are owned by the same company so I'd expect the same there - that should have tipped me off initially). Overall if you really want to stay in old quebec, but don't want to spend $200+ this is ideal. Quebec is so small though, that most of the hotels outside old quebec are a few minutes walk away anyways.

Thank you for your comment about our hotel, we are taking it in consideration very seriously. Our price management is based mainly on competition and availability. We give our guests as much value as possible buy having a very competitive pricing strategy and by including Wireless High Speed Internet, light continental breakfast and free valet service in our rates. As for the attribution of the room, our room categories are standardized with the same equipment so the way you book your room has no influence.

just got back from a great weekend in quebec, Hotel acadia is in my opinion mediocre.Paid 180.00 a night for a supposedly deluxe room, I would not want to have seen the standard room. Receptionist was very rude and somewhat arrogant. Price included breakfast when booking over the phone but I soon found out is was only valid for a coffee and muffin, not much of a breakfast considering all the walking you will do in old Quebec. Not worth the money would not recommend it to any freind.

Thank you for taking the time to share your appreciation of our establishment. We take your comment very seriously. We make a lot of effort to make sure that our rooms reflect the quality you are entitled too in a 200 year building. The courtesy of our receptionists is a priority to us and that we take every measures possible to make sure that our guests receive an outstanding quality of service. Please note that we offer a complete American breakfast for a small extra, available when you make your reservation.

A good choice for a short break in Quebec. We booked a large room for 3 people and got a quirky little suite with a separate living area. The location in old Quebed is perfect and the room well equipped with coffee making facilities, hairdryer etc. The room was in need of a bit of a makeover with peeling paintwork, shabby furniture and erratic hot water supply but definitely had more character than a standard 3 star hotel.

Parking is an extra 10 dollars in a street around the corner, reception is over the road in Acadia hotel and breakfast is served in a separate restaurant around the corner. A basic breakfast is included in the room price but if you want more than just a cup of coffee and a muffin you get $4 dollars off any other breakfast served in the restaurant. Not really a great deal.
