My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon and it was perfect. The location was great and close to everything you want to see. It was so quaint and cute and the service was wonderful. Every morning, breakfast is served and is complimentary. It was delicious! I slept better here than I have in a long time. It really was the perfect place to stay on our honeymoon!

We have been here a number of times and will choose this place again. We don't stay here with children. It is not set up for that, but if you want a romantic vacation, come here.
If you just enjoy breakfast, this is also a wonderful place.
If you have a car, make sure you tell them in advance. There is parking behind the hotel, but if many people are bringing cars it can be full.
This is right in the old city.
The restaurant is only for breakfast

I have traveled to Quebec a number of times and have stayed at the Comfort Inn, the Hilton and the Chateau Frontenac but I really loved this place. It is located just inside the city walls which makes it a great spot to go to concerts in the summer or the winter carnival. Our other choice was down near Petit Champlain but that would have been great for the summer too, but perhaps too far from the Winter Carnival activities. Parking was somewhat confusing as it is near the Clarendon, but we chose the hourly rate and it was $40 for almost 3 days. The place is run like a B&B, the rooms were clean and the bathrooms were spotless. The bedroom was large and the "large double bed" was large enough for my wife and I and I am a pretty big guy. There were a number of choices for breakfast which is included {which you can see on their website} and each breakfast saves you at least $20/day for 2 people so take that advantage into consideration as an advantage. The only complaint I had was that when I was about to shower the hot water ran low so my shower was on the cold side. Personally this was just a minor inconvenience so I just got into the shower before 8 the next day and it was fine. All in all this is a wonderful place and while nothing is cheap in Quebec, this place was a gem and worth the $185/night. Bonjour!!

We have visited Old Quebec City several times and have stayed in many different accommodations; and are always looking for the most romantic place. I believe we have found it.The room was beautifully appointed with attention to every detail regarding the period furnishings and yet so comfortable. The bathroom was well-lit and roomy and the thereaputic tub was a welcomed pleasure after a chilling outing. The room was quite warm, wonderful when returning from outside but too warm initially at night; until I read the room notebook that described how to turn the radiator down. The breakfast was homemade and served graciously by our host. What more could I say!

Form the moment we walked in to the time we left the 4 nights and five days were exceptional. The room was good, but a bit small (we booked our Christmas vacation late), the service was first chass and the Christmas decorations in the living room and dining facility were just grand. Mrs. Donais and her associate Paul treated us like family. The breakfasts were excellent and sitting by the fireplace in the late afternoon with a good book was like being at home. I should add that the Hotel is within easy walking distance of all of the walled city of Quebec. BOOK EARLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has been our second visit to this hotel. The location could not be better, within the old city walls, but close to everything. Being an interior designer, aesthetics are extremely important to me. The hotel is just beautifully decorated, the rooms are gorgeous!
Paul, the concierge could not do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast in the little breakfast room was delicious every morning. The other hotels in the area cannot hold a candle to this one. Do not miss it!

The Hotel Le Clos St-Louis exceeded our expectations, for two couples vacationing together. It is surrounded by good restaurants & shops, near/above the Chateau F. Seasoned travellers, we enjoyed the ambiance of the cozy small hotel, with warm living room/lobby fireplace. The hotel is owned, managed & even breakfasts are cooked to order by Ghyslaine. She checked us in & cooked our wonderful breakfast every morning -do try the French Toast. We received great suggestions for dining and other city attractions from Paul-Emile, the concierge. The rooms are clean, quaint & romantic. The stairs can be a challenge, so stay a week, to leave the luggage in place in your room.

Check out the cannonball in the tree root on Rue St Louis opposite number 58 and Rue du Corps du Garde, right down the street, but without any historical plaque.
