Perect location in the old city: steps to the river, just behind Chateau and just in front of Citadel. Marielle is welcoming and helps to deliver the perfect vacaton. Breakfast provides enough to get you going (coffee, OJ, pastry). Take time to look through photo albums in breakfast lounge. We stayed in Room 10, it is well appointed (just as pictures show) and offered a view of the river and the roof of the Chateau. I recommend this hotel to all. My husband is tall (6'4") and he had no problems with ceiling height like mentioned earlier. We can't wait to return!

Room Tip: Look at pictures--they are an exact representation of rooms.

Excellent location in the old city; 2 blocks from River overlook, with the Chateau Frontenac in front and the Citadel behind. Marielle greeted us by name, was fluently bilingual, and gave us great tips on what to see! Room was very clean and quiet with a nice view!

This hotel is charming, clean and very conveniently located.
The staff are helpful and friendly, and the hostess has lots of great suggestions for fun activities.

The rooms are quaint and comfortable ( with air conditioning).

We also loved that when we left the hotel , we were immediatley in the heart of Old Quebec.
Whenever we wanted to pop back to our room, for a break or change of clothes, it was very convenient.

There are rooms of various sizes to accomadate your needs.

We loved our stay in Quebec City, and intend to return to Maison du Fort on our next visit.

Room Tip: There are various room sizes, to accomodate your needs.

This hotel is in the middle of Old Quebec and within walking distance of everything. We stayed in Room 10, which is on the third floor (no elevator). Keep in mind that Quebec is very hilly so after a day of climbing hills in the city, you'll have to walk up three steep flights of stairs before you get to your room. But it will be worth it. Room 10 is a large beautifully decorated room with views of both the city and the St. Lawrence. Breakfast isn't much -- mini muffins, juice, and coffee, but is enough to get you out the door in the morning.

This hotel is a quaint little home away home located inside the wall adjacent to the Chateau Frontenac. The rooms were immaculate, beautifully decorated, comfortable and well appointed. My husband and I stayed in room 1 on the main floor and my daughter, son-in-law and our two small grandchildren (ages 4 and the other 5 months) stayed in room six. which was very spacious and Marielle provided (for a small fee) a nice playpen with bedding for the baby to sleep. The air conditioning was individually controlled in each room.. Marielle provided juice, coffee/tea and small cakes and muffins each morning which could be taken to your room on a tray. There was even an umbrella stand full of umbrellas for use of the patrons should the weather turn. Marielle greeted us each day and was a warm hostess. Cannot wait to return and will definitely book this hotel again.

Room Tip: There are no elevators so if stairs are a concern stay on main floor. Room 1 had a side view of St...

Just spent five wonderful days at Maison du Fort. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary and wanted something special. Boy, did we get it right! The location allowed us to walk easily to all of the historical sites, restaurants, and attractions. The building and rooms are just as charming as they look in the photographs. Our room, number 5, was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Also, important to you light sleepers, it was very quiet. Thanks, Marielle, for being such a gracious, helpful host!
