Hotel des Coutellier is a beautiful small hotel in a very convenient location. They do not have valet, but do have access to a parking lot and at $10/day, I considered it a bargain. All of the staff that we met were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the breakfast delivered to your door as well.

Room Tip: We had a suite facing St Paul. It was quiet, but the sun was up and shining through (even with the...

The hotel is located in lower part of old town with a view on old port market (Marche du Vieux-Port de Quebec) and near many beautiful cafes and art galleries. It is also within a short walking distance (albeit with some climbing) to the center of old town (Place Royal, Notre-Dame etc.) as well as to a train station.

It is a boutique hotel with a very friendly, helpful, and small staff, which speak both French and English.

Hotel has no fitness center or pool, but we came to enjoy the city, so it was not an issue. There is a business center however for business if needed and free internet (although limited to 3 devices only).

For breakfast, you can eat at the adjacent restaurant or just enjoy a continental breakfast delivered to your room every morning - nice touch; plus free coffee and some pastries in their small foyer. If a package includes a dinner at SSS restaurant, keep in mind that SSS "package-included" menu has some items like beef at additional cost.

The view from our suite was great. There were a fireplace, a sofa, and extra tables; the bed was very comfortable, and they had slippers/robe. They have Keurig machine in the room (coffee and tea are not free) and snacks/drinks in a bar.

The bathroom has a jacuzzi (at least we had) and a separate shower. They also have infrared lighting in a bathroom if needed in addition to regular white.

Oh, and they have an umbrella, which was quite helpful as it was raining a lot that week.

One more thing: parking (self) is only CAN$10/day across the street with in- and out- privileges.

Cool place to stay. Large room has lots of bells and whistles. Shower with three water options and jet-tub in suite. Shuttered windows. Quiet and comfortable bed. The hotel is across a small park. You need to park just around the corner to check in when driving. Easy walk to old town.
Breakfast on your door when you awake. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking across the street. Certainly would go again.

We stayed 2 nights and we were greatly impressed. I booked a standard room and we got a very large and extra clean room, a super comfortable bed, equipped with a fridge a microwave and a small oven, with glasses and plates and cutlery... And we could walk to the nearby antique shops, bistros and restaurants. We will go back for sure.

This has to be one of the best boutique hotels going. Great rooms with really comfortable bed and facilities. The deliver to room breakfast was a great touch - although everything was at the sweet end of the scale. Staff were great and the parking across the street a bonus and excellent value. Location couldn't have been better for visiting the old city and the selection of bars and restaurants within 2 minutes walk was fantastic. We had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to return - really good value for money with style thrown in.

Room Tip: Higher floors offer better views but doubt there is a bad room.

This hotel is a few minutes walk from the train station. And the main old city sites are a five minute walk away - admittedly uphill! The rooms are very well appointed, clean, with nice touches (bathrobe). The bed is great! Breakfast is delivered in the morning along with a newspaper - much appreciated. Coffee in the room is good. The staff is really friendly. The only downside is the lack of blackout curtains in the room - the blinds are nice but the sun really comes through in the morning. I enjoyed my stay and would return without hesitation.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. (One picked up a book I had left at a restaurant the night before.) Our room was beautifully decorated, spacious, had a coffee machine, mini-bar. Everything is within walking distance.... restaurants, sights. Since it is outside the main walls, it isn't as congested.

Room Tip: We were on the back away from the street, and had an upgraded room....loved it.
