“great food, indifferent service”
Reviewed 30 May 2008

We walked here from our hotel for a late dinner, and were a bit disappointed. The food was great, and the wine selection was impressive. We ordered the fixed menu, which was very nicely presented and had lovely flavors, except for the cheese course which was inventive and bland.

Our waitress was the most up-tight server we've had so far, and was rather cool to us when she learned our French wasn't very good. Even though we were trying to practice, she spoke to us only in English. The server who brought our food was much more relaxed, and spoke with us in French to describe the dishes he was serving.

It was, in general, a nice evening, but overall, it wasn't our favorite place to eat in Quebec City.

Thank Martha G

“Best restaurant in Quebec City”
Reviewed 4 April 2007

I dined at the Aviatic Club with a friend for her 27th birthday. I'm from Quebec City, so I've tried many, many restaurants in this town. Believe me, this restaurant has some of the best food that you will find in Quebec.

The prices are reasonable. The average price of an entree is around 22$. For an extra 12$, you get to choose any appetizer and desert (+ coffee or tea) from the menu. The mango cosmopolitans were fantastic. There is a great selection of wines. The service was rapid and polite. And the WWII officer's lounge atmosphere was just perfect!

I strongly recommend this place and would not hesitate to return!
(The creme brulee au foie de gras de canard is amazing!!!)
