Our first visit to Old Quebec and it was absolutely lovely -- gorgeous sunny days with the fragrance of lilacs in the air. What a hospitable city -- everybody so friendly and polite. Musicians all over town creating a beautiful ambience. Drinks at Saint Alexandre Pub at sundown. Discovering the delights of maple: maple taffy (?) on ice, maple shots, maple tea. Steak frites and sugar pie at L'entrecote Saint-Jean. Lucky to visit during a Zombie Crawl when a hundred delightfully costumed ghouls marched up Rue Saint Jean, then convened at a square outside of the old town where we ran into them again as we searched for (and found) the best chocolate store in Quebec. Also happened upon a beautiful orchestral performance in a random church. Quebec is just an amazing and magical place to visit!
