We stayed for three nights and had a lovely clean room, which although was a little dark, was very comfortable. There was a kitchen on our floor which we did not use but looked well equipped. The parking was easy to arrange when we booked. Elianne (not sure of the spelling) was extremely helpful with pointing out where we should go within the old city, including directing us to a nice place to buy a sandwich for a picnic in the gardens by the citadelle. She was very knowledgeable about the area, including some waterfalls several miles away. Although it was a bit of a walk to the old city, it wasn't inconvenient and also meant that the cost was much more reasonable. We would stay here again.

A friend and I stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago. Due to being misdirected by GPS, we were late in arriving and Eliane had provided her cell phone # in the event we needed her, which we did! Upon taking the wrong exit, we called and she had us follow her to the hotel! Eliane had the exterior door and keys to our room ready and Roman was there to take our luggage to the room, parked the car, and walked with us about 2 blocks away in search of a restaurant since we had not eaten dinner. Most were closed or in process of closing but Pizzédélic was open so we were happy to eat on the patio as the weather was great. Having never been to Canada before, it was daunting to be navigating our way in the dark! But our fears were most definitely calmed by such a caring and concerned staff. The next day a lovely couple we chatted with for a long time in the room next to us asked if we were the ones who got lost and were late! Staying at this hotel was like being at home among family and friends! We could have never imagined such kindness in staff of any hotel in the world!

Philippe and José Luis, the hotel owners, were fantastic during breakfast as well as the 4-story hotel being so beautiful in European décor; it is quaint, quiet, and accommodating. Sandie, Eliane, and Roman assisted with tours and how to get to the Old City not far away and Maria was an efficient housekeeper. I did not meet Sandie until we were leaving but her English is perfect for those of us who do not speak French. We definitely would not stay elsewhere should we return to Quebec City again…..only here!

Room Tip: We preferred the lower level with only two steps down from the street entrance.

I cannot think of more charming or delightful place to stay in Quebec City. The hotel staff is welcoming, helpful, kind, and informative. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. In fact, they even provided escort service when we got lost coming into the city at night. I highly recommend this hotel and their excellent Concierge service.

We chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor ratings and were not disappointed. The Hotel is comfortable, quaint and well located. Our room had the private bathroom outside the room which is not ideal but not a big deal either. What really made this Hotel stand out was the Concierge, Ilyana (sorry if spelled incorrectly). She took such care to ensure we made the most of our time in QC; her recommendations were spot on and we saw and experienced a much more authentic and enjoyable evening than we would have without her suggestions. We would definitely recommend this Hotel.

We had a wonderful stay in Quebec City. The city is beautiful and the inn was comfortable and charming. We did not have a car with us, and we enjoyed walking and feeling a part of the city. Our hosts were always available and hospitable. They made us feel comfortable immediately. Their kindness and warmth were much appreciated!

Aux Deux Lions is nestled right in the middle of tourists and locals, offering the perfect balance. A few minutes walk on one side is Old Quebec and its cobbled streets and beautiful gates. On the other side is Avenue Cartier, a row of fabulous restaurants and bars to explore. The hotel staff is so genuinely friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and even with the language barrier their service shines. They even offer discounts to several restaurants and sights like the museum and observatory. Breakfast is offered at a fixed price each morning and there is parking on site as well. We stayed in the Cartier room and it was immaculate. The shared bathroom was no issue and a communal kitchen and outdoor balcony offers a chance to get to know the other guests. With such comfort to go home to each evening, we were able to enjoy the city to the fullest each day.

Since we drove to Quebec City we needed a place with parking. Auberge Aux Deux Lions was a great location with parking in the back. The hosts were all extremely pleasant and helpful. Old Town is walkable and the Performing Arts Center is just a couple of blocks away. Two blocks the other way is a great street with several restaurants and a market. We passed on the hotel breakfast and ate at some good local establishments. Highlight of Old Town was a visit to the Catholic church/school and museum run by the nuns. Their founder had just been canonized (which is a big deal if you happen to be Catholic). Be sure to take a trip to the spectacular waterfall across the river. Also, take the ferry over and back for a wonderful view of the city from the water. Quebec City is all people say it is!
