The people were very friendly and helpful. Good location close to the old city. The rooms were pleasant, if a bit small and the water pressure in the shower was awful. We didn't have the breakfast as it was rather pricey. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time at Auberge Aux Deux Lions, it was a wonderful hotel. We are a family of 6, so we needed two hotel rooms. Both rooms were very clean, quiet, and dark at night! The staff was super friendly and gave us some great suggestions for seeing things in the city.

Welcomed by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. A pleasant but small room. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Graffitti Restaurant. A good location. The airconditioning was however noisy and the breakfast was very basic with minimal availability of for example, croissants which was a shame

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room

Hi and thank you for your comment. We are truly delighted to read your positive feedback about the staff of the Auberge. The team is very pleased to acknowledge your kind words.

Regarding the size of the room, we will be glad to give rates and availability for your next stay for our other room categories, like the Superior Room Plus or our Suites that are more spacious than Superior Rooms.

Regarding the continental breakfast, it includes: Butter croissants, muffins, hard boiled eggs, ham, cheese, breads, cereals, fresh fruits, yogurts, coffee, tea, orange juice, grapefruit juice. We are sorry that it did not meet your expectations. According to our green guidelines, we try to avoid spoiling food the more we can. Thus, Philippe, owner and pastry chef, tries to make fresh butter croissants depending on the number of people who requests breakfast. You probably understand that sometimes, we have more people coming that expected but Philippe is able to make more croissants within 10 minutes if asked to. Maybe the mornings you were there, it was very crowded but from now on, we will make sure to look closely that there are enough products available.

I sincerely thank you for your comments. It allows us to communicate perceptions and expectations and improve our services.

Kindest Regards,

José & Philippe

We stayed with two small children and couldn't have had a nicer stay. The room was large, immaculate, and very quiet.

The staff was helpful, patient with all our questions, and gave excellent advice and tips; they even directed us to places to take the kids on our one rainy afternoon.

We appreciated the full kitchen (minus the stove) as well as the large grocery store one block away. The store had plenty of prepared food for an easy dinner in, as well as good produce. The hotel was also in walking distance of a row of bars, restaurants and carry out food places.

Parking was easy. We didn't use our car while we stayed and were glad for a safe place to leave it.

It was also easy to get to the main attractions throughout the city as well as the impressive public gardens.

Overall, a great choice for a family.

Room Tip: The room at the very top was spacious enough for four!

We stayed at the auberge for 3 nights. The reception staff were extremely helpful on arrival helping us with luggage up the steps. The room was on the ground floor next to the side entry door but we were only disturbed once in early hours. Our room was large with fridge and kitchenette. Comfortable bed and a bath tub plus over bath shower. Great after a hard day sightseeing.
Fresh baked croissants for breakfast and request for hot milk with coffee caused no problem. We had an early train to catch on our last morning and an early breakfast was provided and the taxi booked. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here last week, and will stay here again next time we are in Quebec City.
Nicely renovated, located in a pleasant neighborhood, and a walkable distance to old town.
A block in the other direction is Avenue Cartier with a variety of restaurants to explore.
The room was lovely, clean, and comfortable. The shared kitchen was convenient to make our morning coffee, which we enjoyed drinking on the shared balcony. Make sure to reserve a parking spot if you need one.
The hosts and staff were outstanding. They went out of their way to make it a wonderful stay for us. Many thanks Jose, Philippe, Eliane and Sandie! We cannot wait for our next visit!

We stayed for three nights and had a lovely clean room, which although was a little dark, was very comfortable. There was a kitchen on our floor which we did not use but looked well equipped. The parking was easy to arrange when we booked. Elianne (not sure of the spelling) was extremely helpful with pointing out where we should go within the old city, including directing us to a nice place to buy a sandwich for a picnic in the gardens by the citadelle. She was very knowledgeable about the area, including some waterfalls several miles away. Although it was a bit of a walk to the old city, it wasn't inconvenient and also meant that the cost was much more reasonable. We would stay here again.
