The service was top notch. The room was perfect for our family and the croissants were, in the words of our 10 year old, "exquisite". While the Old City was a 15 minute walk away it was not difficult and it was enjoyable to see parts of the city sometimes Ignored by other travelers.

We had a lovely dinner in the neighborhood at a price well below what we would have paid in the city center. When we return to Quebec we will certainly stay here again.

The hotel is very clean and service was good. We found the room to be smaller than we expected for a triple room and the bathroom was very small. As our room was basement level it was also quite dark and a bit cold. One member of staff spoke very good English but apart from one incident we did not have any communication problems with the other members of staff. On arrival we were asked to pay for the 3 night stay. I was told that my credit card was not being accepted so I contacted my bank in the UK (on my mobile phone). They advised that nothing was even reaching them and on looking at the hotel's card reader on the next attempt it stated that the modem was not connecting (in English). Location is very good for restaurants and it is a pleasant walk into the old part of Quebec City.

Lovely place and a 15-20 walk to the walled city of Old Quebec! We stayed here just one night, but were given lots of great information from the reception lady and were treated warmly by the owners. Wonderful breakfast with delicious croissants, cheeses, meats and preserves. We had been to Quebec before and stayed in the upper part of the old city with a view of the water, but this place was very old and rundown compared to Auberge des Deux Lions. We also visited the Rue St. Jean near the auberge and found more reasonably priced and authentic restaurants. They have on site parking if you reserve ahead of time for $15 a day. Very friendly and accommodating with great wifi as well.

We spent 3 days at the Deux Lions and were so delighted with the hospitality of the staff/owners. We enjoyed their fresh breakfast each morning which included fresh made croissants and jam/jelly, boiled eggs, yogurt, sweet bread, cereals and juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The cost was $9.50 but well worth it to get the day started in such a nice way. I thank Elaine, Jose and Philipe for a most pleasant stay in their lovely inn. The room was small but most adequate for 3 adults and was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. I looked to be recently remodeled.
I would stay here again if I'm ever in Quebec City!!
We were able to walk everywhere we went except for Cirque du Soliel and it was a short taxi ride at night. Parking on the premises was a real plus.

We stayed here with our family of five. The service was exceptional. The room was really nice and spacious enough for the five of us. The decor is stunning throughout. It was an easy 15 minute walk to old Quebec. They provided a helpful map and suggestions on sites to see. The croissants at breakfast were unbelievably good - and still warm from coming out of the oven. The coffee was also outstanding. You'll enjoy staying here.

We spent four nights here. Our room was in the basement and had a separate entrance around the side with a small courtyard. The entrance was shared with the other two rooms in the basement and also shared a common area with sink, microwave and fridge. We actually spent very little time in the hotel since we were out sightseeing every day.

We had one of only two parking places in the garage and basically parked our car and walked everywhere except one day when we went to the national park.

We were quite pleased with everything at the hotel. When we mentioned the soap dispenser was clogged, Jose replaced it himself within 10 minutes. We knew the owners spoke very little English but Jose tried very hard to help us when we checked in after the English speaking woman had gone for the day. The next day, she was very helpful and willing to spend time speaking with us.

The room was small, yes, but was comfortable and modern and perfect for our needs. The room was a comfortable temperature and we never heard nor saw the A/C. Although there are a lot of rooms, we heard very little from other guests. We did hear guests returning to their room each night around 10 pm but they were not overly loud.

Being early risers, we did not wait for breakfast each morning which did not start until 8 a.m. We also did not partake in the package deal with a local restaurant. There was absolutely no pressure from the owners to do so.

Room Tip: Basement rooms had independent entrance, stone walls seemed to muffle noise and add style.

I can't say enough nice things about this wonderful hotel and the owners Jose and Phillipe. We stayed for two nights last week. Do to the language barrier there was some confusion with our reservation. The owners made us feel welcomed and handled the situation in the outmost professional manner. The rooms are clean, comfortable and pleasant.
It is located in the upper part of the city, it's a pleasant 10 to 15 minute walk to the old city, passing wonderful cafes and restaurants.
I loved our stay here and would definitely recommend Auberge Aux Deux Lions.
I"m looking forward to visit again, but next time I want to be able to communicate in French.
Thank you for your hospitality.

Room Tip: We had two rooms and both were pleasant, clean and quiet.
