Superb service. Friendly helpful & efficient staff, delicious & quick for a made to order breakfast, wonderful shower, aircon. Room is a bit on the small side, but cosy. We stayed on the busier street side but noise was nnever a problem. Excellent in-room Lavaza espresso machine. Diego went the extra mile to make our stay great when we accidentally left a few items in the room. If you drive make sure you have directions to negotiate 1 way streets. 15min easy walk to Upper town. 5min walk to great dining, clubs & shopping of St-Roch. Would definitely stay here again when back in QC.

This is a lovely little hotel deserves five stars: 1. Great service; 2. Friendly and helpful staffs; 3. Beautiful, modern but warm décor in the lobby. Very smart layout; 4. Big room (I have room 1 for 4 people) with high ceiling and old stone wall, special treat! 5. Fantastic breakfast! It's made to order. Try local favor such as crepes. We are 4 people stayed 3 mornings. We tried almost all selections in the menu. All so yummy!
Why the four stars? Here they are: 1. Bathroom is very small and no counter space or selves to put our stuffs. Three of us are contact lens wearers. Lots of bottles. Two of us also need treatment stuffs that can only apply by the sink. Imagine -11 blur vision trying to find things on the 6 inches by 3 inches counter. I traveled 2, 3 times a year in the past 20 years, hundreds of hotel experience and never see bathroom counter space so small. Wonder why I paid $270 (include tax) per night for that small space; 2. There is only one big tall free standing closet for our clothing. Ok space for stuffs if you don't plan to put all things out, but way too tall. I am 5 feet, cannot reach the hangers. My daughter have to climb from a chair to hang anything. Major problem for petite families; 3. Unexpected steep uphill climb 10 minutes then another 15 minutes to old city which all major attractions located. Happy to see the residential area which consist interesting drawings on the walls. And lots of restaurants, but really hurt my feet. We have to drive in the last day. please note: there are plenty of paid parking lots near the river side of the Old city. We live in New Jersey, driving a lot in New York and Philly. Very used to huge traffic flow and delays. In comparison, the traffic and parking were pretty easy in Quebec even near the major attractions.

There were lots of things I liked about this little auberge
Tasty breakfasts, quiet dark rooms that are great for sleeping and the friendly, helpful staff.
What I didn’t especially enjoy was the steep uphill climb to get to the old city. Making this climb once a day is doable but doing more than that is just plain annoying. I also think it may be a little overpriced for the quality of accommodations.
This auberge is located outside of the wall and the trek to the old city was sometimes daunting. To be fair though the week we visited was the hottest & most humid of the summer.
Because we did choose to stay at this hotel we explored a part of the city that we would not have considered otherwise. Nearby we found a couple of good restaurants and there is lots of shopping.
If you are looking for a place a little off the beaten path then this is a good choice, however my preference for a return visit would be to stay inside the wall.

This hotel is less than a ten minute walk to the busy streets, restaurants and stores of the Old City or the upper part of town. It is quiet, with several restaurants a few block away. Our room was very comfortable on the second floor...no elevator. The concierge was most accommodating - making dinner reservations and parking and retrieving our car ($15/day indoors). There is a huge library of DVDs at the front desk one can borrow. Breakfast was wonderful - a large assortment of choices from crepes to French toast, to a variety of eggs and omelettes to cereal and yogurt.

A wonderful hotel in a great location in Quebec City. A great delicious breakfast, spacious and comfortable rooms and a first-rate service. Antonio, Diego and everyone else was outstanding during our 5-night stay - always friendly and helpful. Do not hesitate to ask them any questions about spending time in Quebec - they will give you a wealth of information to better your trip.

Outstanding service level and overall great value for a buck.
The concierge not only took our luggage and park our car (indoor $15/day), but also planned the whole evening for us, and even reserved the restaurant. Without him we'd definitely miss both free Cirque du Soleil performance and the firework show.
The room was also very nice with perfect bed and nice sofa.
Add to this free bottled water, a nice coffee machine, and a very good breakfast.
15 min walk from the old city is not that far, plus on the way you can visit some nice local french bakery shops.
Highly recommended.

We were a family of 4 who stayed in the Room #1 on the main floor. We loved our unique room with its cool stone walls and exterior entrance, the colourful decor of the hotel, and the location, which is a short walk to rue St. Jean, the Old Town, and the amazing Benjo toy store. Little things that made our stay memorable were the complimentary water bottles left each day, the friendly staff who were always willing to make suggestions for things to do, and the DVD library for relaxing at the end of a long, hot day of sight-seeing. Our favorite part of this hotel was the delicious breakfast, made to order each morning and included in the room rate. The food was amazing, and made the room a great value for 4 people. We arrived by train from Ottawa/Montreal (highly recommended): The cab ride from the train station is very short and inexpensive and the hotel staff will wait for you if you come in late.

Room Tip: Main floor room #1 with its 2 queen sized beds was very suitable for our family of 4. Very cool ori...
