A newly renovated small hotel. only 10 rooms all nicely done. Antonio, the owner/manager is on site and extremely helpful as is the night manager Diego. The breakfast is just wonderful and done to perfection . The presentation is awesome. The location is convenient to the old town. Only a 15 minute walks . Other restaurants are very nearby. Try The Table.

We're sorry we have erased the previous answer! :( We mixed it with another one which was in the wrong language... That's the problem of speaking so many languages (we speak French, English, Portuguese and Spanish). ; )
Thank you so much for your comment, we're glad you got to appreciate our beautiful rooms.
There isn't much we can add to your description of our breakfast, as they are almost perfect!

We hope to see you again, soon!

Our family (my husband and I and our three teenage young men) just stayed in the larger suite last weekend. The staff was so helpful, recommending wonderful restaurants with quebecoise cuisine and other activities such as the fireworks. The hotel and room are beautifully decorated with a real sense of design and beauty. We highly recommend this hotel!

We had a wonderful experience in this lovely, Van Gogh themed hotel from start to finish. Diego was very welcoming and helpful. He parked our car in the hotel garage and brought our bags to our room. He also made us dinner reservations for our two nights in Québec City. Our ground floor room with street access had ample room for two queen sized beds. The delicious breakfasts were far superior to anything we could have gotten in a café.

Room Tip: Although we didn't see the rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors, people might prefer them to our main...

Thank you very much! We're really happy you've enjoyed our Van Gogh inspiration. It's not just my job, but it was also a pleasure to be able to serve you, you were fantastic guests! As we said before, we don't like playing our own horns, but our breakfasts, hummmmmm!

Anything you need, just let us know, we love to serve!

We're expecting you this winter, you're going to fall in love with Quebec City all over again!

Had a great time. Spent 2 evenings talking with Diego while we did the wine and cheese thing in the lobby. The owner, Antonio is one of the most pleasant people I have met. Stairs are a little daunting if you have a disability, but rooms are spotless and very eclectic.

Thank you very much! I 'kindda' miss having you here in the evening to chit chat! Indeed, the stairs may be a little challenging, but if it is a minor disability, any room on the second floor is easily accessible through the back door (only 5 steps, instead of a whole flight), and room 1, has virtually no steps if you use its own entrance! ; )

We're looking forward to your next visit!

Wonderful little hotel. The staff is super nice and helpful we enjoyed talking to them and appreciated their recommendations for restaurants. We also appreciated their patience with our attempts to speak the little french we can. Very good breakfasts. The Van Gogh theme was cute but not overdone. The rooms had enough space and very comfortable beds. Simple but cute decor. It is a bit of a far walk from the old town but is worth it.

We think you are wonderful! Thank you very much! We also loved talking to you, and sharing a little of this amazing city we're lucky to call ours! If you're making an effort to speak French, then we are just in heaven! We love to help you improve your French, even if it is a just a little tiny bit! Even though the old town is, indeed, between 10 to 15 minutes on foot, you get to see a lot of Quebec, most people who stay inside the old part don't get to see!

We're looking forward to your next visit!

I have to agree with so many of the reviews - the hotel seemed average at first glance from the street. But from the moment you go in, you know you're not in Kansas anymore.

The Van Gogh theme of the lobby is enchanting but not cloying. Marie-Eve was the host we met right off and she was lovely. From guiding us to the underground parking (two dozen steps away - wow!) to making local recommendations, she and the staff were wonderful!

Breakfast was wonderful, as well, as good as all the other reviews say. And the local smoked meat - wow!

The hotel is1-2 blocks from the elevator taking you to the edge of the old town. Not the Funicular, which is across town and costs money, but a lovely, old fashioned elevator that is free and cuts out many steps. Loved it.

The room. Oh, let me tell you about room #4. It's one of the biggest, being listed as a Suite, but no separate walls define the space. It is lovely, roomy, well laid out, sweet couch in the corner, and the shower..... three different sets of shower heads - a regular hand-held one, an overhead waterfall, and two side-mounted jets at shoulder and hip level. And a whole lot of hot water. Thirsty towels and even robes await you, though they were a bit tight on my curvy frame.

If you are shy about showering in front of your roommate, this particular room may not be for you. The shower is just near the bed and lit nicely. Different and I liked it, but if you were travelling with a friend, might be awkward.

Every little detail was seen to and offered eagerly - to the free bottled water.

We needed a cab one night from the old town back, and were surprised to find you cannot hail them - you must either call or find a cab stand, which was very easy once we knew about it.

My sweetheart was enchanted with the hotel, and we plan to stay nowhere else should we return to Quebec City. Thank you for everything, Diego, Antonio, and Marie-Eve!!!!!

Room Tip: Room #4 was spacious and lovely, a top notch room. It is one floor up from the lobby but very quiet...

Thank you so much for your comment! We're particularly thankful for such a long and thourough comment!
We're glad we were capable of surprising you, it's always a pleasure to know your experience with us was a good one. Indeed, we're a few minutes away from the Old Quebec, and we just love to share every little secret of the city with you! ; ) Including all the little things you may do, see and buy even before entering the St-John Gate.
We are very satisfy you enjoyed our suite, maybe next time you may try one of our superior rooms, or even room 8, which is also a suite, on the third floor!

We hope to see you again soon! And thank YOU!
