Located in the old city, this restaurant is from all the reviews one of the best in Quebec city for food. Situated in a town house, there were tables set in various rooms, not crowded in the least, and exuding old world charm. It is quiet, casually formal (not a oxymoron), nice table settings, decent artwork in the walls. The waiter we had was good at sizing up the clientele, chatty and joking, or more polite and reserved depending on the table and its occupants. The food was of good quality, properly cooked, and nicely presented. The only disappointment was the sauce accompanying the sweetbreads we ordered -- rather dull and insipid. I would gladly go back for another try.
