We tried Le Cochon Dingue located on Rue Rene-Levesque in the Upper Town. We had made reservations online and were promptly seated upon our arrival. The restaurant has both french and english menus. We tried to speak French as much as we could; however, our server spoke English without a problem. As soon as we were seated our table was given a jar of the restaurant's signature baby pickles. All of us ordered different items off of the menu and we all enjoyed our meals. I was not really hungry so I had the caesar salad and french onion soup. I found the soup a touch salty but then I normally eat a low salt diet so (no pun intended) take my comment with a grain of salt. My spouse had the ribs and said they were delicious. My daughter really liked her mac & cheese and one of my sons said he really liked his steak. That night we all indulged in desserts (half portion was sufficient) as well. I quite liked the tarte au sucre. I would best describe the food at this restaurant as comfort food. The menu offered a lot of variety which was good for our teens/pre-teens.
