We rent this motel as a group for a basketball tournament. It a very old motel but it is clean. I think that at $110 a night, tax included is a little expensive for such a room. I suppose they took adventage to the fact that there was also a big hockey tournament at the same time.

We decided to stay at this motel due to its proximity to Bishop's University. The room size is what I would expect of a motel. What we did not like was that as we were going to go to sleep on our first night, we found hair stuck to our bed sheets. We asked the management to change our sheets, which they promptly did. The only problem is that the new sheets had hair all over them too. We notified management once again about the hair on the new sheets and they said that perhaps the hair got stuck on the sheets in the dryer. That may be so, but I still don't want to sleep on hairy sheets. The bathroom is small, with poor water pressure but it does the job. This motel is not as affordable as one would expect. For the price they charge, I would just pay a few extra dollars and go to a better/cleaner hotel.

We stayed at La Paysanne again for 3 nights at the beginning of September while we accompanied our daughter back to Bishop's University. Once again, we were very well treated. The hotel is under new management which is friendly and helpful. We were kindly allowed to receive our daughter and 4 of her friends for a pizza deivery dinner in the pub/breakfast area one evening. The owner set everything up nicely, offered her services with wine or beer and then cleaned up the glasses and utensils we had put on the counter in the kitchen when we were done. Much earlier, her husband had assisted us with our rental car that would not start, even boosting it for us.

The motel is close to the university and shops/restaurants in town. I walked back and forth often. Being close to the road, you can certainly hear the traffic but it did not bother us (we even had the window open at night). The rooms are not huge or elegant but they are cozy and clean. The furniture is solid and functional. The shower works well, the bathroom window opens for fresh air and packages of shampoo and soap (which are not large or luxury brands) are welcome. There is a mini fridge to store your own food or drinks which is nice as breakfast is not huge but does include an egg. On the day of our departure, the owner got up early to make us some coffee to take along.

We have had nothing but positive experiences here and are happy to continue to return and to recommend it while visiting in Lennoxville.

Room Tip: There is a rather large step up from the parking area sidewalk to some of the rooms so if you have t...

Definitely a motel, not a hotel. Within walking distance to Bishops, staff were pleasant and tri-lingual. Rooms were small and dark, not very modern. Beds quite comfortable, bathrooms slightly larger than ones found on airplanes, and both nights we stayed there were late-night distractions from other guests. More expensive than I expected, luckily I wasn't paying. Free wi-fi, good speeds but you constantly need to sign in which would be annoying if you spent a lot of time online. Small fridge in each room. Lots of English TV channels. I think there was a restaurant on-site but Pizzaville is down the street and it was great, so go there, they do more than pizza. Not sure whether I'd recommend this lodge or not since I don't know what else is available in Lennoxville, but I'd say my experience was better than most of the reviewers here.

Room Tip: Avoid room #45, the TV is on the same side of the room as the head of the bed, really annoying. Also...

We just spent another few nights here while we got our daughter set up for university and once again were very happy. Our two double-bed room was comfortable and the bathroom, though small, was sufficient and very clean. Good water pressure. Soap and shampoo packages were provided. The air conditioning worked well (it was over 30 degrees outside). This is not a luxury hotel, nor close to new, but it does not present itself that way. It is clean, safe and very convenient to Bishop's. We ate on the run but the dining room looked inviting and was full.
We have had excellent, friendly treatment from all the staff, especially the reception. I had asked if our daughter's luggage that was to be delivered to the hotel by greyhound could be stored at the hotel till we arrived. Of course, I was told. When greyhound only delivered the 3 large pieces to Sherbrooke (not to the motel), Sylvain (of reception) drove all the way there and paid a fee to pick it up. We were very grateful.
I plan to stay here each time I visit Lennoxville and I would be happy to recommend it.

This motel is close to Bishop University. It feels like it is stuck in the 70s but it is clean and the rooms are a normal size. I have been there a few times and it is a really affordable place if you only plan to sleep for a night or two. I never had a bad experience there. However, don't expect it to be fancy.

Stayed two nights in May. Left IPOD Touch behind. Called next day - they denied finding it. Sent a person to Motel; turned out they admitted finding it, but claimed another client had stolen it from lost and found box behind counter! Said it was not their responsibility. Lawyer has advised me to go to the Police and have sent them a Lawyers letter. Law clearly says that once found, the item was in their care and their responsibility. Very angry and aggressive person on the phone, rude and difficult to reason with. Be very careful if staying there as the manager is confrontational and difficult to talk to.

If we find something in a room, after the check-out, we contact our guest, even if (our rules are the same in every hotel) we are not responsible for any loss of any kind.
We are very sorry of this situation and for that, we have proposed a free stay of 2 nights, corresponding at the value of this lost item. We apologize if this solution seems not convenient for our guest.
