Have stayed here several times and staff always friendly and helpful at check in. Rooms seem quite small but always clean. The restaurant could operate longer hours and prepare more choices for room service. Quite salty food, should be more healthy choices. Love the location, right across the street from The Bay which anchors the Midtown Plaza. Short walk to tendy street stores and the park by the river.

The Hilton Garden Inn in Saskatoon was a pleasant surprise. The exterior of the sixteen storey building is somewhat drab, outdated, and uninspiring, but the inside more than makes up for it. The rooms and facilities are updated, trendy, and well-appointed. The hotel is located on 22nd Street in downtown Saskatoon, a city of about 250,000. It is across the street from a great shopping centre, Midtown Plaza, anchored by The Bay and Sears, and featuring most of the shops you would find in any larger city mall. Parking is either on an adjacent outdoor lot, or under the nearby shopping centre, and costs $12.00 a night with a ticket system that is not particularily user-friendly.

We booked a bed-and-breakfast deal, meaning we could help ourselves to the breakfast buffet, which was as good as one might want, with a chef who would prepare your eggs anyway you should choose (the omelets were outstanding!). Lunch in the same restaurant was okay; we didn't try the dinner menu as we were there for a wedding. The adjacent lounge was small, but staffed with friendly and accomodating personnel.

We had booked a king suite, with a hide-a-bed in the main room, and a king bed and jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. One drawback was that the two couples had to share the facilities in the one main bath, even though the jacuzzi was a nice feature. The beds were comfortable, and the furniture modern and in good repair. An electric fireplace in the main room made it warm and cozy.

The wedding reception was in one of the banquet rooms, and it was very well-done: delicious food, good service, and comfortable seating.

The pool was large, clean, and easy to access. The spa was a bit small, but comfortable. A fitness room had a few modern machines and equipment.

Check-in and out was effortless: the staff was very helpful and friendly.

I would definitely again stay at the Hilton Garden Inn if I were to return to Saskatoon for any reason.

Room Tip: Check on-line for valuable options before booking.

A nicely renovated facility with excellent proximity to TCU Place and downtown businesses. Bed is ultra comfortable and exceptional pillows, good TV's. Lots of plug-ins and strong fast wi-fi. Accurate heating control with lots of heat and air circulation. Good little fitness facility and swimming pool. Check-in was fast and efficient, they looked up my Hilton Honors number in seconds. Complimentary business center had a great printer, photocopier etc. Lounge food was tasty, TV was big, and server earned a large tip. Meeting rooms were very functional, good coffee service. For a business hotel, there is no better in Saskatoon, where there are a lot of renovations underway right now, but previously most hotels were getting old and worn.

Room Tip: Some street noise on south and east rooms if that bothers you.

I am staying here on business in November of 2011. I haven't stayed here before but because the Holiday Inn Express was full, they actually referred me here. I stayed in a King room on the 16th floor with a great view.
The room is clean and spacious and they have many extra touches which were nice. The desk is large with a nice office lamp with a couple plugs. The desk also has a flat pullout for extra space - great for the laptop. They have the Keurig coffee maker and a couple bottles of water. The desk chair is a Herman Miller chair that has many adjustable features like arm height and tilt, and super comfortable.
They also have available a "stay fit kit" that has a yoga mat, pilates bands, a 8lb ab ball and 3lb which I haven't taken them up on - yet anyway. The room has a decent amount of floor space if you want to excersise in the room but they have a gym as well.
Parking is in the lot beside and you have to pay for parking. They will valet park your vehicle in the underground for no changre as well.
Another thing I noticed is that every staff person, even the guy vaccumming the hallway, I saw in the hallways acknowlegded me, initiated some kind of conversation, helped me with the evevator and were super polite.
I may just make this my number one location.

Room Tip: facing south in the even number rooms is preferred in my opinion

well 1st time staying with Hilton i loved it but....
1) i understand the cc auth since i am a hotel worker myself but if u say you take visa then say visa some of us have debit visa and if can book the room on-line then u should be able to pay with debit.....
2) there was no sort of price list in the minimart there
3) in the business center the comp. didn't work
i did like however,
1) the location the bus depot is behind the hotel
2) midtown plaza is in front almost
3) the downtown nightlife(clubs) not to far away

overall i would stay here again but.....
need to be more proactive with the debit visa aspect

This is a nice hotel. I think it might be a bit old and has had a few updates, but, could use a few more. The inside of the rooms look like maybe in the last 10 years some things have been fixed or changed, but for the most part, it's old. The bathroom is a bit nasty and again, the tub and tub surround have seen better days. At some point, you just can't clean layers of stuff.

THE WORST part about this room is the air/heat unit. Oh my goodness. It's so loud that you either live with room temp or you wake up everytime this beast comes on! Again, I think it's just old. You could not make this baby quiet with servie.

Staff are very friendly. The breakfast buffet was great. Some drinks and half price aps in the lounge were very good.

Not a perfect hotel, but I have been in way, way worse places.

Thank you for choosing the Hilton Garden Inn Saskatoon. We appreciate your business and your feedback. I am pleased to let you know that we have recently completed renovations to our Great North American Grill and introduced Steps Lounge. We will begin work in our lobby and conference area very shortly, and our guest rooms will begin renovations in late spring or early summer. We are also in the process of replacing all bathtubs, and have completed this work in just over half of our bathrooms. Thank you again, and we invite you back to see our new look as we progress!

I'm used to the newer HGIs in the USA where as a Hilton Honors member, i get free buffet breakfast coupons. Maybe I'm spoiled here, but..........
Room was neat and comfortable and housekeeping staff was very prompt and efficient.
Fitness room good.
Wireless internet fast.
Staff very friendly.
Downtown location within walking distance to a number of restaurants, shopping, movie theaters and a Starbucks.
