“Excellent Brunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2014

We made a reservation for the whole family including both our Moms. They set up a perfect table, with a view outside. The restaurant isn't loud even at brunch and we were able to talk to each other from one end of the table to the other. The food was just excellent, there wasn't anything you couldn't find from eggs benedict to whole crab legs. Amazing. The servers are very attentive and will do anything to make your experience the best. Best Brunch I have had in Saskatoon.

“Mothers Day Buffet a disappointment”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 May 2014

We visited Il Salici for the first time last evening for the 5:30 sitting. The Mother's Day brunch was modestly priced at $21.95 pp and overall there was a good range of selections. However, the food was disappointing for a number of reasons: the "salads and antipastos" must all have been from costco .... spring mix and spinach as the 2 salad options and the antipastos were canned mushrooms, canned articokes, canned red peppers etc. The 2 meat entrees were chicken, which was dried out, and the prime rib pieces we received were very gristly. The dessert table must have been left over from the brunch sitting as it was covered in crumbs and many of the choices only had 1 or 2 mangled pieces left on the plates. The waitress was attentive and friendly. Will not eat here again.

“Expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2014

We went here for a romantic supper in the early evening. They take reservations for couples. Its a little off the beaten track but the atmosphere and view is an awesome one of the golf course. The food however was nothing special and was VERY expensive. The service was acceptable, but we were never asked if we wanted a second drink or anything, so not great.

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 January 2014 via mobile

In all honesty I have been looking forward to going here for a while. We went out with 6 of us for my mothers birthday. There were only two groups of people total in the restaurant (our group of 6 and another larger group of 10-12). It was very slow, we were there for around 3 hours and probably waited 45 minutes after we ordered to get our appetizers. However, I do not mind a long wait for good food. But the food was not good. I split the steak and risotto with my significant other and while the steak was cooked perfectly it lacked really any seasoning. The Risotto was worse, very tomatoey and acidic and one dimension; super disappointing. My father and mother (a vegetarian), ordered a trio of small vegetarian entrees (a quinoa dish, a kale salad and something else I believe mixed veggies). However they were both served the shrimp risotto. The waiter acknowledged the mistake and apologized, however when their correct meals arrived it was still not as advertised on the menu and the kale salad was actually arugula. All in all for a $300 meal, it was defiantly not worth the price tag.

“Such a great experience - thank you Il Salici!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2013

We celebrated a 60th and a 5th birthday in the Wedgewood Room the morning of September 1st. During both the planning and brunch itself, the staff members were a pleasure to work with - the executive chef even took time to speak with us before the event about our gluten-free requirements. The brunch buffet was incredible with an overwhelming number of options, all of which were delicious. Our server Evan was fantastic - very attentive but also giving us space to enjoy our celebration together. None of us live in Saskatoon and this was our first time to Il Salici but we will definitely consider it again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Thank you for making our special occasions that much more enjoyable!
