I wrote a review on Cut but it never got posted so I am going to try again!

We were on business and staying at the Delta and Cut is a short walk down the street for those of us too lazy to walk. We also selected Cut because it claimed casual dinning.

The staff was very warm and friendly from the person on the street doing the menu to the reception and the server. I normally do not have the prime rib but we both had the salt and pepper prime rib and it was out of this world. Tender, crispy on the edges and full of flavour.

This again is an example of a total experience, nice location, good food and terrific food at a fair price. We are going to try Cut again the next time we are in Saskatoon for business.

This is a new restaurant in the location that was previously the dated and tired Tusq. This is such an improvement and welcome addition to our many new dining options downtown. The property has been expertly renovated with a warm and inviting bar in the lower level and an upscale yet purely casual dining area upstairs. We stopped for a drink at the bar, named Half Cut and found a nice selection of wines by the glass for a very reasonable prices and a gourmet pub food menu, again reasonably priced.

We then headed upstairs and were give a friendly greet and seated. The ambiance is perfect for a steakhouse, open kitchen, wall booths and tables in the middle and even bar seating in front of the open kitchen. I liked the lighting, not too dark and not to bright. Jeremy our waiter gave us a solid tour of the menu which, in addition to the many red meat selections, also has a variety of other meat options.

We went with the salt and pepper prime rib and the beef short ribs. For sides we had the horseradish mash and steak fries with a Caeser salad to start. And a bottle of Apothic Red.

The Caeser had a nice taste and our mains were fantastic cooked and presented brilliantly, delivered promptly after the appetiser and Jeremy made sure to check on us and keep our wine glasses topped for the duration of our visit. The meat cuts with a fork and melts in your mouth. The fries were real steak fries, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. We took half of the plates home, portions are going to satisfy anyone.

In the end our total bill was just over $100. Including the wine. We will be back again and soon.
