The hotel was quite nice and was a 5 minute walk from the airport. Hotel was nicely furnished. I would recommend staying here. I think it's really silly how I am required to type 200 characters for this review.

Stayed various times, May 2013 most recent. Have stayed at a few places in Whitehorse, but this is my favourite hands-down, and is always my go-to "Home away from home". Building looks dated, but just wait until you get inside. Everything has been renovated and it looks very luxurious, from the front desk to your room. All staff have been extremely friendly to me on all visits. Hard-wood floors, tall ceilings and COMFORTABLE beds make this place stellar to the rest. Very clean throughout, no noise whenever I stay, and the whole place feels modern, you don't feel the floors creaking when you walk through the hallways, and it doesn't have a dark "feel" like so many other places in Whitehorse. Definitely do stay if you come through Whitehorse.

Not many options in Whitehorse for the weary traveler. Found this place in the Milepost and after 12 hours of driving, it was a delight. We looked at a few hotels downtown but there were lots of drunks and it was loud. This place was quiet and seemed safe enough for parking our car full of stuff. Beds were comfy, the rooms were clean and modern. It's not too far from downtown for those who care to go explore. Truly a gem for the Alcan traveler!

We got the Presidential suite , which had a living room with fireplace, master bed room with fireplace that also heated the huge bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and a huge snow filled balcony , at little over $100 a night , only thing there is no elevators so it is a little struggle dragging bags up and down

My son and I stayed here for a week (7 days, 6 nights). It is near the airport and close to the Canada Games Centre, away from downtown but nothing is too far a drive in Whitehorse. The locals said this was a really old run-down hotel that had been re-done. I've traveled a lot and it is fairly good (I would rate it somewhere between average and very good, closer to very good). Some of the upscale features and details include having their logo on most things like the chair in the room, the towels, on the faucets, etc. and modern decor. I liked the nice towels and appreciated the slippers. We absolutely LOVED THE BEDS, we slept so well... so comfy soft and the pillows too. Service was great, they reacted promptly to questions and resolved concerns immediately.
The bad experiences: no hot water on Sunday evening for a shower, I called to let them know and they said they had to call in the service/repairman to come to the hotel, we had to leave by then so having an ice-cold shower was not fun, it was fixed eventually; the heater for the last three days and two nights was really squeaky and noisy all day and night (and you can't turn it off) which would not be a great if you're a light sleeper (didn't bother us too much because we slept so well); the main door from the stairwell to the second floor rooms slams really hard and loud which again is not great if your room is near it and you're a light sleeper; there is no elevator to the second floor so it's a lot of work if you have many heavy bags and go in and out a lot like we did; and lastly, we wanted a late check-out because we stayed out late for an aurora viewing excursion the night before but they said the "latest" they could give us was 1:00pm - after staying there for a week, I didn't think it was much to ask for so I wasn't impressed and left on a sour note (tired).
And to comment on the restaurant... higher priced but very good food, and really nice decor. I assume the hotel has no control over the restaurant hours but if you're relying on it to be open every day and for all meals if you don't feel like going out in the cold, don't count on it. I would recommend confirming hours of operation ahead of time so you can plan accordingly.
No children's activities or swimming pool but I don't think any Whitehorse hotels have a pool so was okay with us. Also, if you like ordering and watching in-room-movies, they don't have this feature but the fact that they have tons/most cable channels to choose from, this made up for it.

Room Tip: - stay farthest from the main doors if you're a light sleeper - book a second floor room on th...

My daughter and I stayed at the Skky Hotel for two nights in January and found it to be first-rate. The room was modern, clean and comfortable.

The staff were welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to make sure were comfortable, including arranging taxis, providing directions and supplying dishes from the restaurant for snacks my daughter had brought along.

The location is very near the airport, which is great for catching your flight out in time. Catching a taxi into downtown was quick and easy.

Recommended.
