“Amazing trip and excellent staff at Northern Tales”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

Travelled to Yukon after checking online about viewing the Northern Lights. Was fortunate to come across Northern Tales and must have exchanged a dozen emails between us. The staff,Anila and a couple of others were very kind ,patient and prompt in answering all my queries. Finally, when we arrived at Whitehorse,Yukon on the 2nd April,we were received by a very kind lady Toshie. She was our guide, driver and caretaker for the next 2 nights of auorora viewing. She was simply great ! Talking and explaining to all guests, helping with the manual setting of cameras as the auorora shots cannot be done in auto mode.If you haven'tgot a camera,no problem, the staff will take photos with their cameras. The hotel reserved by them for us was good and the staff kept us informed about all the activities available.A free city tour was included as well and another kind gentleman ,Mr.Atsushi ,was very informative and knowlegeable.Tried the dog sledding and the people at the kennel were wonderful too and of course, the dogs.Would love to go back to Yukon to try other activities and to hang out with the helpful and friendly staff.Thank you all for making it a memorable trip.

“Aurora Borealis Trip - Northern Tales”
Reviewed 28 March 2014

After a great deal of research to view the Northern Light from Alaska to Europe, we decided to book our Aurora Borealis trip March 21 - 24, 2014 through Northern Tales. Northern Tales was a pleasure to do business with. They were responsive to questions prior to our trip and continued to be responsive during our stay. There tour schedules were on time and well coordinated. Though we had clear nights, every night, the lights were not as active as we had hoped. None the less, we saw lights every night of our stay.

Northern Tales booked a weekend stay for us at Sun Dog Retreat. The location of Sun Dog Retreat and the scenery was spectacular. The owners of Sun Dog Retreat treated us as if we were staying at a 5 star spa. Words can't begin to describe their hospitality. They even took the time to make sure you were awake for the light shows. Andrew from Sun Dog, gave us a great overview of the area and the First Nations on our trip out and back from the resort.

Whitehorse is a unique experience with unique and friendly people.

“Great Experience........ One we'll never forget”
Reviewed 20 March 2014 via mobile

We had a great trip in Whitehorse (4 nights). Would strongly suggest you rent the winter clothing option. Note that they don't have half sizes in the insulated boots so think carefully about what shoe size you give. Do as many of the extra trips as you can. We did the half day dog sledding and the overnight in a Cariboo tent and enjoyed them tremendously. We'd definitely book with Northern Tours again.
