The B&B is located a bit out of town and a Taxi there costs about 40 dollars so it's good to either have your own car or rent one both for convenience and price.
That being said, the location is absolutely perfect for viewing the northern lights and it baffles me that people will pay hundreds of dollars to go on a northern lights viewing trip, when you can watch them from the windows of the right B&B. It's also conveniently located if you want to go to the wildlife preserve, go dog mushing or have a dip in the Takhini hot springs.
We arrived there at 3 at night after a 40 hour bus-ride, so we were rather exhausted. There was a bit of a misunderstanding with the date we were supposed to arrive, but we got a greeting from the big friendly dog that i never remembered the name of, so well... We went to sleep on the lounge and obviously surprised Eva a bit in the morning. She felt so bad that we got the Capuccino room for the price of a regular room and the night on the lounge for free, which i honestly didn't expect, but I'm very greatful.
We also met her husband and sons, and all were really friendly and helpful and we had a lot of fun and interesting conversations at the breakfast table.
The food was absolutely fabulous, with everything from waffles with maple syrup to a full Mexican breakfast.
I would not have wanted to stay anywhere else!
