It's my favorite place in Whitehorse! The canyon is beautiful with its amazing colors: emerald Yukon river and red cliffs of the canyon. Always go there when in white horse. Check out the suspension bridge. Best feature - it's absolutely free! Not far from Whitehorse there is another place with suspension bridge (Yukon suspension bridge) which is ten times worse and you pay a lot of money. What a waste! Don't go there and stay at Miles.

We managed to join a tour through the canyon on down to the remains of Canyon City that included explanations on the flora and fauna along the way. It was presented by two young ladies from the local conservation group who volunteered their time. It was fabulous and very informative. Don't miss it and don't leave without giving the guides a tip, they deserve it!

This is a beautiful place to visit just in the outskirts of Whitehorse. There is a walkway bridge over the river and trails for exploring.

Make sure you swing by this place on you way in or out of town. Even if you're coming off the highway from a long day, this last picture stop before the hotel is worth it! On a cloudy day you can really see the beautiful jade color water. If you're really adventurous, you can even jump off the walking bridge you can see in the distance… watch out of the current - you should only do if you're a decent swimmer.
