“Very interesting”

We were visiting at the right time: the Adäka Culture festival was going on! We got some interesting information on the exhibits and on the life and the culture of the First Nations!

“Excellent introduction to the Yukon”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

We were lucky enough to be there when there was a cultural exhibit and many artists were demonstrating their skill. We loved the displays and the lovely location of this centre. It's conveniently located and easy to reach. Highly recommend a stop here.

“An amazing facility.”

The wedding reception was held here and it was a very fine venue for the wedding. It is centrally located and backs onto the Yukon river.

“Beautiful Building and Excellent Exhibition”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

This is a really beautiful building located right on the Yukon river.

Admission is by donation. Ask to see the 15 min movie, it pretty well tell you most of the info that is on the walls.

We have been here twice and first time they had a gift shop area that apparently is only there during the cultural festival. We were hoping that it would still be there, but no such luck. There should really be a permanent gift shop in my opinion.

The exhibition that was there was very good with a lot of carving in wood, sandstone, copper and antlers.

“Beautiful centre”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

We attended parts of the Adaka Festival. I would recommend it to anyone interested in native arts, carving, painting, sewing, crafts, dance and music. There is a great gallery and gift store with native art. We attended two workshops one on carving an ornamental paddle and I attended one on using gourds in artwork. We also attended a concert which featured native musicians and it was super. People were friendly!
