We have stayed at Sundog Retreat several times, most recently in July 2012, and expect to be back this summer. The favourable reviews on this site are well-deserved.
Sundog is a wonderful place for a peaceful and private holiday, only 20 minutes from Whitehorse. The cabins are well-spaced over the 100-acre property, with views of nearby mountains. The cabins are comfortable and very clean and have plenty of room, with modern kitchens and baths. The owners are extraordinarily thoughtful about their guests while respecting your privacy.
With Sundog as our base, we have seen much of the Yukon, which is a remarkably beautiful part of the country. The long summer days lend themselves to long hikes and scenic drives. We found the highway from Whitehorse to the Alaska boundary to be more scenic than Denali National Park in Alaska, and much more easily accessible.More
