Was here for a business meeting and found the common areas a bit sparse but workable. The restaurant is very nice, busy and has a full offering of local specialties. Recommend the lasagna.

The sleeping rooms are basic. The bed was firm but pillows thin slabs of foam. For a business meeting hotel, the in-room desk was tiny, no electrical by or near the desk, no direct lighting at the desk. There was a table lamp in a corner behind the bathroom door. The internet once you are outside the lobby is slow or nonexistent.

The local area is residential with limited sights or atmosphere. You can stretch you legs on a few main streets and in the park a few blocks away, but not much in the neighborhood. Not a bad drive from the airport, and ok for business meetings, but nor really a good choice if you have work to do and need to do it in your room.

Are you wanting to visit Bologna but want to drive in and don't want to go into the city? This is the place to stay. They have a nice parking area and are a short walk to the Casalecchio train station. Make sure to look at the train schedule before heading out because the train only stops at the closer of the two stations to the hotel once an hour. But the farther station is only about a 15 minute walk.

The staff was very helpful. We were there during the world cup and wanted to find a place to watch a match. They were able to suggest a nice place for us to watch it. In suggesting a place for us to watch the match, they disregarded many options before they suggested the final place. They were very helpful. One thing though, is to make sure you don't take the key card out of the wall slot unless you are actually leaving. We were about ready to leave, took the card out, but then remembered something. While I was waiting, the housecleaning crew entered the room without knocking. I completely understood as the key card was out and so from the outside it looked like we were out. but a knock would still be nice before entering the room.

Attractive hotel with clean rooms, fancy restaurant, and pretty garden. Free parking. Walking distance to local train. Staff speaks English and is very welcoming and helpful. Onsite restaurant is a bit pricey but apparently know for hundreds of years for its cuisine. Hotel is recently remodeled, kudos to the designer for the stylish black, white, and silver treatment. Due to a mistake by Expedia, we thought the hotel offered an airport shuttle but it doesn‘t. It was about an 18 Euro cab fare.

Located close to the Casalecchio exit of the Autostrada, this hotel is a most pleasant surprise: stylish design with lots of crystal and glass, the rooms present themselves in accommodating light colors, spacious, with a comfortable bathroom, minibar, and the usual amenities of a 4-star hotel. For guests from overseas it may be somewhat disappointing to find that there is no waterheater in the room for making your own tea or coffee. Something that the hotel management might consider to change in the future. Breakfast is served in the hotel's own restaurant and more than satisfies the palate with a full range of cereals, hams and cheeses, eggs, bacon, etc. Delicious cappucino and espresso is served by the waiter at the table. All in all, it deserves a full recommendation, also in consideration of its fair pricing policy. Thumbs up for the Calzavecchio!

Room tip: Try to get a room towards the park, not the street - at times you hear the beep of the traffic lights.

The hotel is nice, with a good restaurant where in the morning a rich and tasty breakfast is offered. The personnel is kind and competent. In my reservation there was the indication of “double room used as single room” but I got a real single room, a bit smallish but ok. The only remark: in the whole room there is only one plug (excluding the bathroom), which nowadays with multiple devices is definitely not enough.
