I have just visited this pub for my Mothers Day dinner. We had a wonderful carvery. The staff were friendly and welcoming and made sure our day was enjoyable. Lovely atmosphere, much better than when we visited under previous management.

we have eaten here a couple of times about 3-4 months ago once on a Sunday & once on steak night both times the food was lovely & the pub warm.
We took two family members with us this Sunday for a carvery.
The pub was very very cold & when a member of staff asked if our food was ok we said it was cold, she didn't give any explanation.
Even as we payed I again mentioned how the food had been luke warm & the building very cold the lady behind the bar agreed the place was very cold but still made no apology even after I pointed out it was a treat for my sons birthday.
We sadly will NOT be returning.

We went on a bitterly cold Sunday looking forward to a nice meal. The pub was cold and the fire unlit. The menu was carvery and we were offered a choice of beef or pork and then were astounded to only be given one slice of chosen meat. We live fairly locally and were hoping to use the pub again, needless to say we won't be going back. While we were there there was a total of five people in the pub ouselves included. One good point was that staff were pleasant and we did point out our criticisms to them.

We have eaten here about 5 times recently and at times it takes a while for the food but well worth the wait. They always accommodate us and are really friendly. I have a disable mother-in-law and at the carvery the owners asked what she would like and went and got her food for her, how nice. The play area is really nice outside and all fenced around. My kids are 13 and 11 and they love it their because this is a child friendly pub. We would recommend this place to everyone.

Met all the family at the Vic for a carvery last weekend. The meat was succulent and full of flavour. The veg was freshly cooked. Perfect :)
