“Surprisingly good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 March 2012

The Orchard Room is a quaint restaurant close to Bury St Edmunds on the edge of a village called Thurston. It's located within a flower nursery which adds to its appeal. The interior is light, airy and clean, the service is very good and the food is home-sourced and remarkable. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere of happiness and contentment among the guests on the Sunday that we visited. Well worth a visit.

“Christmas Treat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 January 2012

We visited The Orchard Room on a tip from a friend for Christmas lunch back in December, and wow did it not disappoint! The food was just sublime, great value and the friendly staff made the whole experience a real Christmas treat.

“'Perfectly Perfect'”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 November 2011

As a Charity Fundraiser I am always looking out for suitable event venues, and that is why I have now booked The Orchard Roon' for two years running.
Teresa and her team always throw themselves whole heartedly into the event, a fantastic meal followed by a fun quiz. The attention to detail, decorating the room accordingly to the chosen theme, and all round general support is second to none. All the staff contribute to the evening and work tirelessly to make the night a resounding success.

“A Gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 November 2011

I am a regular visitor to the Orchard Room living locally and highly recommend Teresa and her staff for the quality of food (the egg sandwiches are wonderful, eggs straight from the hens in the orchard). Service is good and the staff very friendly.

The view of the orchard and plant centre from the large windows is very relaxing and on a day when the sun shines to sit outside on the patio with a homemade lemonade is just perfect.

It is the perfect venue for lunch or a coffee n' chat with friends or family.

“Little pocket of paradise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 November 2011

Calm and peaceful, delicious lunches and cakes. Never fail to visit whenever we're in Bury St Edmunds. There's somehing so de-stressing about watching the hens peck about in the orchard. The Orchard Room also hosted Mum's funeral tea and they were fantastic, providing food for a variety of special food needs with absolutely no fuss. And delicious food it was
