Attending a wedding at the grange hotel.

Staff were great, food was fab and the room was spotless. The grounds were well looked after and looked beautiful.

It is an old property, but that's just added to the charm!

Would recommend.

Stayed in a Log Cabin which was excellent the only downfall was the shower. When showering the tray filled up with water on inspection I noticed it had a filter in the plug hole when I pulled this out it was completely full of hair needless to say not impressed. I cleaned this myself but also noticed the silver cover underneath was slimy looked like it had not been cleaned for months. Attention to detail was a bit lacking but I would stay again as Cabin is delightful.

The Grange has a good location and the gardens are superb - the praise runs out there. The staff did the minimum to nearly be helpful. Asking for toast brought a single slice without my wife being asked if she wanted any, attention to the guests needs was poor. After some effort on our part coffee at breakfast was served and we were told, ‘that is it,’ and it was. A request for the promised yogurt from the menu brought a sigh and a bowl of a single flavour from the kitchen. My kipper was extra ‘smelly’ and just warm, (returned of course,) all served in a tired, battered, threadbare dining room. The dried fruits for the cereals were in Kilner jars that had been topped up, (surely for ever,) without from the greasy surface seemingly being washed.

Our room had a radiator that could not be turned off, a shower tap that parted from the supply and shower pressure that culminated in a performance at the ‘taking the micky’ standard. And when the lighting fused on being switched on – just don’t ask me

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Room Tip: Can't help there.

Having booked a double room we arrived and were taken to Room 3. It was only after a quick visit out and on return the room was roasting. This was caused by a boiler or hot water pipes right behind the bed and was making the room very warm. Reception said we could move to a 'superior' double for another £30 which we rejected. We invited the duty manager to the room and he agreed it was too hot and not adjustable.
He offered us room 17 which was outside and up some very rusty stairs in to an annexe of two rooms. Although billed as a better room, it looked identical if not a bit smaller. All was fine in there with the exception of the shower which was no more than a weak spray, which is what you get from tap fed showers. The bath plug also didn't fit and let all the water out.
Breakfast was fine though and the staff more than helpful. Would be nice to visit when we have some decent weather as brekky on the terrace would be lovely. All in all, a nice little hotel, a bit dated and some of the interior fittings are in need of replacement otherwise clean and tidy.

I have visited Amita at the spa on several occasions and have always received an exceptional treatment. She is a highly skilled therapist, very knowledgable and aims to meet your needs depending on the treatment choice.

I am now pregnant and have also had some lovely pregnancy massages, and will definitely be having more before baby arrives!!

They also do a good deal, which involves treatments of your choice and a sandwich, which makes a nice trip.

My husband and I stayed here for a night and were very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience, considering the great price we paid. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, the room was great, with a lovely view and the food was out of this world. We will definately be returning as soon as we can! Thank you very much for a much needed relaxing and decadent weekend!

We had a big family 40th wedding anniversary there on 14th April, we booked a room just for us. Amy was my contact from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble, she organised an excellent menu for us to choose from and altered it to suit us The family went to decorate the room before hand and were helped and encouraged by the staff. On the day we had a wonderful time, the staff (including Amy who it was nice to meet face to face) were really welcoming and so friendly. The food was excellent and we were served altogether so we didn't need to wait before we started, everything went like clockwork. The room was ours for the whole afternoon. All of our family had a wonderful time and are still talking about it. We would highly recommend The Grange to anyone and hope to go back there again ithe next time we have another family occasion.
